It was like the whole event was a scam.

Players had received an ability to create their own troops, then those were casually snatched by the king.

Did they just train those troops for the enemy kingdom?

It was nice to get more army, though.

In another world, Earth, players watched the stream without blinking much! The event was suspicious, and no one doubted that players were used as toys and free force.

However, no one just dropped their weapons and waited for their death.

All top players fought against the black plague, getting more fame with each second!

Pyromaniac stood out!

And as Reylin gained even more fame across both worlds, The King, Julian, saw him and deemed him a problem as well.

That man could become ‘hope’, which was not something the king wanted to see.

Therefore, he just stepped in.

King Julian appeared in the sky.

He was a handsome man despite his features looking too alien. Like his son, Hans, he was with a black body similar to obsidian and devilish purple eyes.

Donned in majestic long robes that reeked off royalty, King Julian raised his specter, “Listen, you lowly humans! Your top players are nothing before us. We just toyed with them to no end and had them play our little game! That word must be pretty vexing, am I not right? Game! How often have you heard them calling your lives a game?

Hahaha! Entitled creatures demand reward for even a little thing they do! At some point, they will demand you to give them experience just from breathing in your presence!”

The King’s voice reached all residents.

A few of them felt their hearts drumming louder and louder. Amidst those sounds, they stared at the king’s face. His voice reached them despite their hearts palpitating as nothing could oppose his royal might!

“They tasted their own medicine! The one-shot is not enough! Two neither! We will continue to take down those entitled players and spread our might across the whole world! Your ascended won’t even descend to help you.

Ascended… Yes, what about them? They can only watch and bless players instead of you… Because they deemed most of you… unworthy.” King Julian spread his arms, “Dark Matter doesn’t choose you. You choose it. All of you can choose it! The only requirement is that you become honest… Honest with your heart and mind!”

An invisible wave spread from all screens in an instant.

That invisible wave imbued dark matter seed within the hearts of all residents who had wavered.

King Julian’s lips curled up, “It’s time for revel!”

His troops and children loudly cheered!

The black plague became even harder to deal with as the morale of all troops shot up, to say nothing of the king’s children who became much more active.

One of them, the black star flame that faced the pyromaniac, took a few steady steps forward, “You can’t run away… Back then, I couldn’t let this skill out.” He chuckled, “My flames will devour you entirely.”

Hans lifted his dark flame sword and pointed it at the sky.

Before any flames came out of the ground, an intense pressure blew away all troops around them, leaving only Hans and Reylin in the vicinity.

At last, the flames emerged.

The dark fire made a circle around them. They howled loudly and were so dense no one clear-headed would try going through them.

From below Hans’ feet, even thicker flames oozed out.

Pushed by those flames up, Hans smirked! That fire coalesced into a warhorse in similar armor to its master.

Of course, the appearance was cool and dreadful, but the passive effects brought by this whole spectacle were worse!

[Your Fire Resistance has been lowered.]

[Any fire skill used in the Hans’ Fire Castle will be weaker.]

[Your mana consumption is three times higher!]

And many more were hidden through Hans’ wish!

He clenched his sword, “I am a royal child, favored by the dark matter, and a man blessed with golden blood!”

Reylin sneered, “Oh, so all you lack is the queen? What a pity she is in someone else’s hands.”

His words widened Hans’ eyes, and veins pumped on his face!

Reylin inhaled deeply, then used his Crown Mana.

His eyes sparked, and fire burst out from his eyeballs! It went up and formed an imitation of horns. He no longer breathed air but fire! His legendary scarlet flames burst out to provide him with unlimited mana…

Alas, Hans’ castle prevented Reylin from spreading flames!

His dark fire extended itself and barreled into a red pillar, eating and slowly infecting Reylin’s beautiful flames!

Reylin clicked his tongue.

He waved his hand out of spite, then his flames exploded around him! He also aimed those at Hans, to no avail.

The man in dark armor just swept those explosions with his dark flame sword.

His horse raised its front legs, crying out loudly, then charged at Reylin the moment those hit the ground! In the blink of an eye, the war horse slammed itself against Reylin, completely negating his Crown Mana.

Reylin was deemed useless, and his body felt what was rare but lethal.

He felt flames eating him alive, “Ughhhh!” He groaned through clenched teeth!

The whole world also saw the pyromaniac’s fall, their hearts sinking! The players shook their heads, realizing that the game was far from its end game and that the dark matter people would become much more active from now on!

Reylin dropped onto the ground, “FUCK!” And the moment he did, Hans’ sword pierced him through his shoulder!

All Reylin saw was Hans’ smirk and his eyes glaring at him with genuine satisfaction! That man’s heart swelled with pride, and he dug deeper into Reylin’s flesh to just elicit more of his cries.

Reylin’s loss… seemed unavoidable!
