“That’s alright, darling. Sleep.” Elias’s voice was as reassuring as a lullaby. 

She felt his endearing kiss on her forehead. His lips lingered for a brief moment. The last thing she remembered was his peppered kisses, soft like the flutter of butterfly wings.
