“That’s true.” Nian Junting sighed slightly. “Sometimes, I really feel like she’s spoiling me. Before she got pregnant, she always went all the way to my villa after class to make my favorite dishes for me. She peeled shrimp and deboned fish for me. I told her that she shouldn’t be doing that kind of work. You know, we should be nice to women, but she wouldn’t listen to me. She said that she’ll spoil me until I can’t accept any other woman. I had no way to change her mind. By now, I’m really used to being spoiled by her.”

Mr. Fang blinked, suddenly looked behind Nian Junting, and said, “Miss Xu…”

Nian Junting froze briefly, then turned back. Luosang and Lu Kang were both standing behind him, and he had no idea when they had arrived. Lu Kang was trying very hard not to burst into laughter, while Luosang was blinking and looking at him with a faint smile.

“Eh-hem,” Nian Junting coughed. “Why are you here?”

Luosang curved the corners of her lips, abruptly stepped forward, bent over, and gave him a kiss on the lips. After that, she said in a soft and low voice, “You left a file in the room. I was just bringing it to you.”

Nian Junting’s legs turned limp even after that short kiss, and his ears reddened suspiciously. This woman is so bold, he thought. She actually kissed me on the lips in front of so many people.

He considered himself a thick-skinned person, yet he rarely did anything like that. He was surprised that she had done it so calmly and naturally. He had liked it, though.

“Lu Kang could have brought it to me,” he said.

“But I missed you. I haven’t seen you in like, ten minutes.” Luosang conveniently and affectionately adjusted his tie, then continued, “Finish the meeting quickly. I’ll pick out the fish bones for you at lunch.”

Nian Junting didn’t even know how to respond.

Luosang’s fingers lingered on his tie for a few seconds before she left. When walking past Yi Jingxi, she didn’t even give him a glance.

Yi Jingxi watched her in shock. He felt like his heart had suffered so much pain that it had turned numb. He had been with her for a long time, yet she had never been that nice to him.

In front of Nian Junting, she was exquisitely dainty and ravishingly beautiful. Yesterday, he had tried to make her and Nian Junting uncomfortable, but unexpectedly, the two of them hadn’t been affected at all.

Mr. Fang laughed. “Mr. Nian, I’m really impressed. You’re so good at this. How nice Miss Xu is to you!”

Nian Junting scornfully glanced at Yi Jingxi, who seemed to be very upset at that moment. That anger that he’d had the day before was completely gone. “That’s right. She always says that she’ll be nice to me for her entire life. I really have no other choice but to accept it.”

Luosang, who was walking out of the conference room, happened to hear that. She felt so speechless that the corners of her mouth even twitched a little. Usually, those words were used by women to show off, yet he had used them himself.

Looking at his perky face, she wanted very much to tell everybody the truth. However, in order to make him happy, she had to try her best to coordinate with him.

“Miss Xu, Zeng Zhun is over there,” Lu Kang said to her in a deep voice.

Luosang nodded. She had already seen Zeng Zhun, who had been standing behind a window long before.

The shareholder meeting was a closed one. Lu Kang didn’t have access to the meeting, nor did Zeng Zhun.

The Yi Group wasn’t doing very well lately. Yi Jingxi was growing more and more short-tempered. Many of the talented staff had left the company, and artists had ended their contracts. All this made Yi Jingxi more and more paranoid. He always felt like the people around him were betraying him. For that reason, Zeng Zhun had to be extra careful.

Luosang asked Lu Kang to wait for her a couple of feet away, then walked over to Zeng Zhun alone. “In a bad mood?” She had come up to bring the files to Nian Junting mainly because she wanted to talk to Zeng Zhun.

Zeng Zhun glanced at her with a bitter smile and replied, “The Yi Group owes so much debt. Can I possibly be in a good mood?”

Luosang smiled at him and said, “You’re really loyal to Yi Jingxi.”

“He’s not only my boss; he also used to be my friend.” Zeng Zhun took a drag on his cigarette.
