“Eat quickly. The food won’t be as nice when it gets cold,” Nian Junting fed her a spoonful.

Luosang had a few bites before she felt ill.

“Have a bit more.” Nian Junting was concerned that she was starving herself.

“I can’t have anymore. I’m worried that I will puke everything up.” Luosang waved her hands, as she laid back down on the bed.

When she woke up, it was already six in the evening.

The sun was still up and Nian Junting was playing with his phone, sitting on the side of the bed. Luosang was shocked when she saw the time. “Weren’t you going to have dinner with some of the board members? Why didn’t you wake me up?”

“It’s fine. I’m the VIP here so they can wait for a while.” Nian Junting sat up and passed her a jacket.

“Should I sit out tonight?” Luosang was hesitant. “It’s all going to be men, so there’s no point in me going.”

“No, how am I supposed to antagonize Yi Jingxi if you don’t go?” Nian Junting insisted.

Luosang didn’t think that was a valid reason for her to go, but she had no strength to protest. “You’ve angered him enough. How far must you go to be satisfied?”

“You don’t understand,” Nian Junting said.

After all, Yi Jingxi was her first love. He had stolen her first kiss. He would remember that fact forever.

Luosang didn’t care to dress up. Ever since she found out that she was pregnant, Nian Junting prohibited her from using any makeup. She was only allowed to use pregnancy-safe skincare products.

She was young though, so she didn’t need makeup to look pretty. Her skin was fair and flawless; just a little tired looking. Even with her tired eyes, she looked like a precious beauty. Any man’s heart would flutter at the sight of her.

The two of them walked down to level one, where they were going to dine.

When they opened the door to the private chamber, Nian Junting walked in with his arms around Luosang’s waist.

There were only two shareholders who were females, the rest were middle-aged men. When Luosang appeared, everyone stared.

She was wearing a pair of white cargo pants and an army green jacket. Nian Junting held her close in his arms; she looked precious and young.

The men were used to seeing sexy, made-up women and it was a fresh sight to see someone so innocent-looking and prudent. She looked beautiful and fresh.

Yi Jingxi watched them as they walked across the room; his heart ached.

Luosang looked as she did when she was eighteen, perfect and pure.

“Look, Mr. Nian, you’re making all of us jealous. None of us brought our girlfriends along for this meeting. Only you did, and yours is so pretty. We should have all brought our wives.” Mr. Fang joked around.

“Yeah.” the men were agreeing with him.

“I’m purposely making all of you jealous.” Nian Junting looked around the room, and the only empty seats were next to Yi Jingxi.

He pulled out the chair for Luosang before taking the seat next to Yi Jingxi.

“Mr. Nian, we just ordered a couple of dishes. You can order whatever you like.” Another executive pushed the menu towards him.

“Something spicy. My girlfriend wants to eat something spicy.” Nian Junting opened the menu and asked Luosang gently, “What do you want to have?”

Luosang wanted something strongly flavored, so she ordered beef and ox tripe in spicy sauce with poached beef in chili oil.

Mr. Fang laughed. “Mr. Nian, your girlfriend takes her spice well, doesn’t she?”

“Only recently.” Nian Junting replied with a smile.

Yi Jingxi was puzzled after hearing him. He never remembered Luosang as someone who liked spicy food.

After they ordered the dishes, Nian Junting said to Yi Jingxi, “When I arrived, I saw many tourists roaming the place but not many crews filming shows.”
