Luosang’s heart dropped. “Is she in danger now?”

“Her condition has stabilized. I asked Nian Xi to go over later when the police come looking for you,” he explained. “I have to stay here. My grandma is still here, and Leng Shuangwei is hurt from protecting my family.”

“I understand.” Luosang’s mind was a mess now. She felt uneasy, and she had so many questions on her mind that she didn’t know where to start. She finally spoke after a long while. “Junting, why did this happen? Did she really go after your family because of me?”
