“Head home early after this. I’m out for a business gathering, but I’ll come over when I’m done,” Nian Junting said.

“Why are you going to the bar when you are on your period?” Nian Junting chided her lightly.

After dinner, Nian Xi and Luosang headed straight to the bar. Luosang wasn’t planning on drinking, but Nian Xi pleaded for her to drink. She said that it wasn’t any fun for her to drink by herself.

“Xixi, it’s not a good idea for both of us to be drunk at the bar.”

“Don’t worry, I know people around here. I’m always on patrol in this district anyway, no one will dare to do anything to us.” Nian Xi started pouring her a drink.

After a couple of cocktails, Luosang felt dizzy, but because of Nian Xi’s reassurances, she decided to let herself go and picked up a couple more drinks. After half an hour, Nian Xi was shocked as she watched Luosang dance crazily in the center of the dance floor. Was this the same demure, proper girl that she knew?

At that moment, Nian Junting called her. “Which bar are you guys at? Why isn’t Sangsang picking up? I’m coming to get you guys.”

“Speak,” Nian Junting said harshly as he sensed her trepidation.

“Actually, Sangsang is drunk,” Nian Xi said truthfully.

“How long have you guys been there? Drunk already? Isn’t she on her period? Does she want to lose all of her blood?” Nian Junting said, annoyed. He wanted to knock some sense into Luosang. “Put her on the line.”

“She’s drunk… she won’t be able to take the phone,” Nian Xi stuttered over the phone.

“What? I’m coming over immediately.”

Nian Xi knew how easily her brother got jealous over things, so she rushed forward and grabbed Luosang by her arm. “Sangsang, come down quickly. My brother is here.”

“Your brother? I’m not afraid of him!” Luosang flung her arms about and yelled over the deafening music, “I’ve had enough of him. He doesn’t even let me come into any contact with males. I’m going to enjoy myself tonight!”
