With a bang, she slammed the car door shut. Nian Junting raised his brows. She had never defied his instructions like this before. Instead of feeling offended or angry, he actually found the situation oddly interesting.

“There are fresh towels and toothbrushes in the toilet cabinet. Rest up, and I’ll ask Sister Lan to make some beef noodles for breakfast tomorrow,” Nian Junting instructed her.

“Beef noodles? Mr. Nian, why are you always feeding me beef noodles?” Luosang said in amusement.

“Don’t you like beef noodles?” Nian Junting responded.

“Not really. I like all food, not just beef noodles in particular,” Luosang was confused. He must have thought that it was her favorite food.

Nian Junting did a double take. He did notice that she wasn’t a picky eater at meals, “You can’t possibly enjoy every food out there. You must still have preferences and dislikes.”

Luosang laughed, “When you have to worry about whether you’ll have enough money for the next meal, then you gain appreciation of every meal that you get.”

“Luosang, did something happen before?” even Nian Junting could tell that she was speaking from experience.
