Mo Liuxi spent some time shaking Tang Yueqi off his tail, so he didn’t find Yan Su at the bar.

He walked around looking for her and ended up outside the bar.

By the beach near the bar, Yan Su was wearing an embroidered denim jacket strolling on the rocky path lined by palm trees. She stopped at a street stall selling fruit and took her time looking around.

Suddenly, a dark figure dashed past and grabbed her handbag.

Yan Su instinctively clutched her bag tightly but the man was strong and she fell onto the floor with a loud thud. Her bones ached when she landed.

She panted painfully and before she could react, another man ran past her, chasing the thief.

She was stunned; the man looked like Mo Liuxi.

The thief was running on the pavement when he saw Mo Liuxi chasing after him. He hopped over the bushes and sprinted across the beach.

Mo Liuxi followed after him like a lunatic. He quickly caught up with the thief and pounced on him.

The two men were entangled in a hot mess. The robber tried to stand up and run off but Mo Liuxi wouldn’t let him. He pressed down on him and threw angry punches. The thief was giving his all as he defended himself against Mo Liuxi.

The tides were rising and the waves came crashing down on the both of them, soaking them through their clothes.

Mo Liuxi wouldn’t let him go. He climbed over him and pressed him into the sand until the man gave up and begged him to let him go. He threw the wallet and apologized in English.

“What’s the use of apologizing? You should be ashamed of stealing a woman’s wallet. Can you even call yourself a man?” Mo Liuxi dragged him up the shore.

Yan Su ran towards them. She saw Mo Liuxi’s hair and face were covered in sand and his clothes were completely soaked through. She was shocked. “You…”

Mo Liuxi tossed the handbag to her; his gaze was cold. “Call the police.”

Yan Su retrieved her phone and she felt a little out of place. “What number should I dial? Should I call the ambassador’s office?”

“Is it not enough being in the headlines yesterday? You want to be on the spread of the magazines again?” Mo Liuxi asked her in sarcasm.

Yan Su, “…”

Mo Liuxi grabbed her phone and called the police. After he told them the address, he tossed the phone back to her and said, “Yan Su, what on earth were you thinking? How could you wander off on your own like this in the middle of the night? Did you think that Italy was a safe place? Let me tell you, it’s only romantic here in shows. It’s one of the most dangerous places in all of Europe! Petty crimes and gangs are rampant here. There are so many Chinese tourists who get robbed here every single day. They always target tourists, plus its film festival peak season right now! There are so many thieves around.”

“I can’t believe you don’t even know what number to dial to call the police. I really got to hand it to you.”

Mo Liuxi was getting angrier as he spoke.

Yan Su was stunned after being shouted at.

She had been grateful toward him but she was getting annoyed now. “Director Mo, you are right. Thank you for your invaluable lesson. Yes, I lack safety awareness. I am terribly ashamed of my ignorance and naivety.”
