Jiaojiao found her face ghastly pale. “Su, are you okay?” she asked.

“Jiaojiao, do you know of any shrinks?” Yan Su said with a bitter look.

“What’s wrong?” Jiaojiao gave a start. Artists these days were facing a lot of pressure, so many of them had mental problems. Their assistants were the ones who worried about it the most.

“I think I need to see a shrink,” Yan Su said with a low voice. She had to solve the problem, or no man would be able to accept her. No matter how much he loved her, her condition would eventually affect their relationship.

“Can you tell me what it’s about?” Jiaojiao asked.

Yan Su stayed silent. How was she supposed to explain? She couldn’t tell Jiaojiao that she always felt sick during sex, could she?

“All right, I’ll find a reliable shrink. But, if it’s a private issue, we need to be careful when choosing the shrink.”

In the nanny van, Jiaojiao handed Yan Su an apple and said, “Happy Christmas Eve in advance.”

Yan Su paused briefly, took it over and said, “Thank you.”

“You don’t have to eat that.” Jiaojiao laughed. “I’m sure Mr. Mo will prepare a lot of apples for you tonight.”

Yan Su silently looked at the apple in her hands.

She felt so bitter in her heart. They had a fight in the morning and she wasn’t sure if he would prepare apples for her or not.

She prepared one for him though. However, when she came home, she found that Mo Liuxi wasn’t at home. She waited awhile, but he still didn’t come back.

She received a message from Shi Xiang wishing her a happy Christmas Eve. At midnight, Yan Su stood on the balcony, looking at the starry sky.

This Christmas Eve seemed to be the same as every Christmas Eve she had these past years. She had a boyfriend this time, but she felt as if she didn’t.

The relationship between Mo Liuxi was like the tea in her hands. At first, it was hot, but suddenly, it got cold.

In the morning, Yan Su checked her friends’ WeChat moment and saw a post from Nian Junting — ‘My son just came into the world. I’ll spank him when he gets older. My baby suffered a lot of pain because of him. Bad boy.’

He also posted a picture of an adorable little baby.

Yan Su hurriedly sat up and called Luosang. The call wasn’t answered. She hesitated briefly, then called Mo Liuxi.

“Sangsang had the baby?”

“Yeah, last night.” Mo Liuxi sounded tired. “I’m at the hospital.”

“Which one?”

“The Second Hospital in Xia City.” Mo Liuxi stayed silent for a few seconds, then said, “Last night…”

“I’ll be there in a minute.” Yan Su ended the call.

She arrived at the hospital. Once in, she sensed a strong smell of disinfectant, and that nearly made her throw up.

She pressed a hand on her chest and felt a little suffocated. She didn’t know what was wrong with her.

As she walked into the crowded elevator, a pregnant woman stood beside her. She complained to her husband. “I think I’m gonna throw up.”

“You’re five months pregnant. Why is your pregnancy reaction still so strong?”

Once the elevator door opened, the woman rushed out. Yan Su felt as if a bomb just went off in her head. She recently wanted to throw up all the time. She wasn’t pregnant, was she?

She did the test last time, and according to the pregnancy test, she wasn’t pregnant. Also, her belly seemed to have grown a little larger than before. It was not obvious, but her old pants were a little tight and her period was late two months.

Yan Su didn’t know how she walked out of the elevator. She didn’t even remember why she came to the hospital.
