Judging from the design of said necklace, it looked like any ordinary, unappealing necklace anyone could find from an average pop up stall. There was nothing special about the design alone from the necklace.

If it weren’t for the diamonds and the layer of luxurious precious stones on the surface of said necklace, Yan Qingsi would assume it was picked up from a pop-up stall somewhere.

“Then… just return the necklace to me would you…” Yue Tingfeng said as he reached out to take back the necklace.

With her quick reflexes and a perfectly-timed sidestep, she gracefully avoided Yue Tingfeng’s grabbing arms. She proceeded to lean closer, facing Yue Tingfeng while staring directly into his eyes. She said, “But… your majesty just so happens to love it very much.”

Yue Tingfeng could see the overflowing joy that was practically pouring out of Yan Qingsi’s tight joyful squint. Were not for the mask that covered her face, Yue Tingfeng would see the huge grin from how wide the arc of her smile made and tease her about how mean of a person she was.

Yue Tingfeng lowered his arm and proceeded to give Yan Qingsi’s face a slight squeeze. He told her, “Now that’s more like it.”

Playing with her necklace, Yan Qingsi asked, “So, is this necklace the only one out there?”

“Of course not…” Yue Tingfeng boldly replied.

“No? Did you buy this in bulk then?” replied Yan Qingsi.

Hearing her snarky comment, Yue Tingfeng rolled his eyes and said, “In bulk? Go ahead and sell them then!”

With a nervous tone in his voice, Yue Tingfeng replied, “There’s… one with me too.”

The instant he said that, without any warning, Yan Qingsi proceeded to shove her hands into his pockets.

Yue Tingfeng was startled by her actions, he exclaimed, “Hey hey hey! What are you doing? We’re in public here, surrounded by people. If you can’t hold back your primal instincts just let me know, we can always go to the best hotel nearby…”

After Yan Qingsi was done searching through his clothes in a very violating way, she finally noticed the same necklace around his neck. Even the design was uncanny. The only difference was the order of how the letters were arranged. In his version, it was TF.QS.

Reaching to run her fingers across the uneven texture of each letter, Yan Qingsi felt the slightly warm body heat that had latched itself along the entire length of Yue Tingfeng’s necklace.

“So it’s for a couple…” said Yan Qingsi.

“Precisely, and soon it’ll be for a married one,” replied Yue Tingfeng.

Yan Qingsi had a slight smirk at the edge of her lips. Never had she expected how this date was arranged for the lack of romance and surprise, however… there was an overflowing sense of stability and even more so, security.

This very feeling of stability was exactly what Yan Qingsi so desperately yearned for. The only feeling she most certainly lacked in her life.

The romantic setting and surprises were nothing but a temporary feeling of satisfaction. The feeling that would last an eternity would undoubtedly be a sense of stability.

On this particular date, Yue Tingfeng had arranged a very regular, common date for Yan Qingsi. They proceeded to do everything a normal couple would after a full workday. They had dinner together, watched a movie together and ever shopped for a bit. It even ended with an innocent… gift. This uneventful gesture had warmed Yan Qingsi’s heart. She felt every detail of what that normal, innocent and peaceful gesture of love entailed as it coursed through every inch of her veins.

She proceeded to ask, “Did you design this yourself?”

With a shocked expression on Yue Tingfeng’s face, he replied, “How did you know?”

With a wide smile on her face, Yan Qingsi said, “It’s obvious a necklace this bland could only be made by your one-dimensional mind.”

Yue Tingfeng glared back at her. He said, “What do you mean bland? It’s intricately made, even the designer praised my work of art.”

Yan Qingsi tapped Yue Tingfeng’s face with her hands and said, “You believed that? That person only wanted desperately to sell one to you.”

Feeling slightly offended, Yue Tigfeng said, “Since you hate it so much, just give it back to me then. I won’t be gifting it to you then.”

Pressing onto his arm, Yan Qingsi told Yue Tingfeng with a smirk on her face, “I’ll be violating you tonight. Would you want that?”

Yue Tingfeng shuddered. He pouted and replied, “Hmph, I am a man of principles.”

However, within less than a fraction of a second, he changed his mind and said, “But… If you put it that way… I… would very much love that, come at me with everything. As much as you want, no mercy.”

Yan Qingsi got up after his reply as she was getting ready to leave.

Yue Tingfeng pulled her tightly to stop her. He said, “Hey, where are you going?”

“Heading back. Your majesty will spoil you rotten tonight.” Yan Qingsi boldly replied.
