The fall was pretty violent. All could be heard was a loud thud on the cold marble floor. Her elbows and knees cushioned the full impact of that fall. From the looks of it, it was almost certain that Yan Ruke could actually fracture her bones. After the adrenaline faded, all Yan Ruke could do was to grunt in insurmountable pain.

Her pain was the least of her worries. To add insult to injury, her body shivered in disgust just by the sound of Yan Qingsi’s voice despite the unrelenting pain. Just as Yan Mingzhu had warned that night when she was clearly out of composure and disoriented. Yan Qingsi’s very existence was like the plague, this vile woman’s relentless obsession with her life was like her very own curse, shrouding her life in a dark voidless mist—unable to shake her off, unable to escape.

However, she was luckier than any of them. No matter how hard Yan Qingsi tried to destroy her life completely, she seemed unaffected, unscathed and living her life to the fullest.

Yan Ruke completely understood Yan Mingzhu’s fate. By Yan Qingsi’s intervention, it would be impossible for Yan Mingzhu to even dream about getting married into the Luo’s family. It was no secret that Yan Mingzhu was a well-known slut since she was a girl that got laid in middle school, had an abortion upon entering college, and had since slept with nineteen different guys in total. Having to go through all of the mental torment, she started to have episodes of a severe mental breakdown as she began to speak to her own self, screaming and wailing in her own recluse.

Yan Ruke acknowledged Yan Qingsi being her own curse, she gritted her teeth as tight as she possibly could—unwilling to admit defeat, not wanting to make the same mistakes as Yan Mingzhu. She would do anything in her own power to rid herself off her own parasitic curse. Only then, she would regain control of her very own life.

Yan Ruke refused to stay down. She mustered every ounce of strength left in her wretched body as she attempted to crawl back up, all with a cold chuckle. However, even with all her effort, Yan Qingsi unremorsefully stepped on her back forcing her down again. Yan Ruke was unable to do anything but cry out in pain. She gritted her teeth even tighter than before as she tried to claw at Yan QIngsi’s ankle to pull her down with her.

Despite Yan Ruke’s desperate attempts to trip her, Yan Qingsi was surprisingly stable. With a sudden fuel in Yan Qingsi’s inflated ego, she stomped her poor victim’s elbow with so much force, it was enough to completely fracture it.

In the midst of the chaos, Yan Ruke cried out in severe agony as she struggled in pain, her voice still shaking from the shock and said, “Don’t even think for a second that I am oblivious to whatever you and Tang Yuyao did. You think you’re untouchable and you’re too smart for people, Yan Qingsi…? You think you left absolutely zero evidence to the things you did?”

This outburst made Yan Qingsi laughed hysterically. She said in response, “Evidence? Please, do enlighten me as to what you think I did? Haha. You’re hilarious missy. If you have any, please, by all means, call the cops on me! Don’t just scare me, I happen to be very timid! Besides… my conscience is clear.”

Obviously, her conscience would be clear. What she did was not even a fraction of what they have done to their mother.

Through her gritted teeth and boiling anger, Yan Ruke shouted, “You wench, I will make your life as miserable as you made mine to be. I will make it so that your life will never be as easy as you are at the moment. I will have the last laugh. Mark my words.”

Yan Qingsi shifted to step on the back of her feet, as she squatted, she made sure to take a good hard look at Yan Ruke’s distressed face. She cackled and said, “Pfft… Missy, if I could single-handedly ruin Yan Mingzhu’s chance of getting married into the Luo’s family, I will have plans to ruin your future with the Yue’s family, no no no, not just the Yue’s family, I will make it impossible for you to get married into any rich family’s household. Missy… I never forget anything. Not even memories from my childhood!”

If was after Yan Qingsi reminded her about Yan Mingzhu’s fate, her entire demeanor changed. She felt an overwhelming fear rushing through Yan Ruke’s veins.

Yan Qingsi blew softly at the edge of the blade and said, “I’m going to murder you silly, I can’t stand your presence, why would I even want to see you alive? I’m not retarded, keeping you alive only disgusts me.”
