Helan Fangnian saw Yue Tingfeng toss his bag to the woman in the passenger seat. The woman did not respond. He wanted to see what she looked like but stopped himself, figuring that he was nosing into other people’s business.

‘Why so curious about the woman in the car? Yue Tingfeng already said that it was just a woman, not some future wife?’ he thought to himself.

However, the woman must have meant something special to Yue Tingfeng.

Someone who could make Yue Tingfeng buy breakfast from the roadside stalls would, of course, piqued his curiosity.

Helan Fangnian shook his head. A smile was on his face as he turned away.

At the sound of the car engine rumbling into life, Yan Qingsi pulled off the blanket. “What took you so long?”

Yue Tingfeng answered casually, “Ran into a friend and chatted a bit.”

He thought Yan Qingsi was asleep but from the looks of it, she was wide awake. She was sleeping so soundly just now. Perhaps she woke up to watch him buy breakfast.

“Who’s the friend?” Yan Qingsi asked.

“Why? You want to meet my friend?”

Yue Tingfeng smiled cockily. Most of the time, when a woman wants to meet a man’s friends it meant that the relationship was getting serious.

Yan Qingsi rolled her eyes at him and took a bite out of the steamed bun. She looked out of the window and paused her chewing when saw the silhouette of a man.

Helan Fangnian turned around and watched as Yue Tingfeng’s car drove by.

He stared at the departing car for some time with a frown on his face.

For some reason, he felt a sense of unease.

Yan Qingsi slurped her porridge and asked Yue Tingfeng, “Was this breakfast bought especially for me?”

Yue Tingfeng’s hands tightened around the steering wheel. He chuckled. “So full of yourself. I’m hungry, that’s why I bought breakfast.”

“Cheh…” Yan Qingsi narrowed her eyes at him.

“This goji hawthorn porridge is beneficial for the stomach. Do you have gastric problems?”

Yue Tingfeng ground his teeth and replied, “You’re the one with problems. I’m just trying to take care of my health.”

Yan Qingsi pursed her lips and took a large bite of the Xiaolongbao.

Yue Tingfeng smirked and slowed the car down. He turned to the passenger side, wanting to have a bite of the steamed bun. However, he was shocked to find that Yan Qingsi had gone through most of the breakfast. “Leave some for me! How can one woman eat so much? I was the one who bought the food.”

“I don’t like to share, what can you do? If you want, you can try stealing from my mouth.”

Having said that, she pushed the remaining steamed bun into her mouth. She did not expect Yue Tingfeng to steal the food from her mouth while he was still driving. The man lowered his head and caught her lips. Then, the bun was gone.

Yan Qingsi was speechless. What the hell!

“Yue Tingfeng, do you have no sense of shame?”

Yue Tingfeng adjusted his position so that he was facing the road again. He chewed and swallowed the bun before saying, “It’s just the two of us, doesn’t matter. Neither of us knows shame anyway.”

He peeked to his side. “Also, you’re the one who challenged me to steal it from your mouth. I was only following your instructions.”

Yan Qingsi let out an unamused huff.

It was true that they had no pretenses to keep up.

For the first time, Yan Qingsi thought, ‘What you said makes sense and I can’t refute.’

Yue Tingfeng asked her, “Where do you want to go?”

“Back to my home.”

A lecherous smile appeared on Yue Tingfeng’s face. “Is this an invitation for me to take you home?”

Yan Qingsi pulled out her mirror to look at her face. Other than the slight swelling and sleepiness, she looked pretty good. She calmly said, “I figured, in your heart, you’d be more interested in removing that last word.”
