If those people could only see this comprehensive plan Tang Moyu had created, they would surely realize that they willingly jumped into the empress’s trap. They didn’t realize that Tang Moyu wanted to monopolize the control of the company so she could reap the maximum profits the Tang Enterprise would earn in the future. 

“So what do you think Mr. Xu, is the plan to your liking?” Tang Moyu inquired. 

To be fair, her plans had a seventy-eight percent success rate, not bad for a stealth move to save the Tang Enterprise once she got the majority shares of the company. 

The expected revenue was also quite high in Xu Wenyang’s opinion. He’d never seen such an approach that could lessen the chance of failure. This was the kind of deal that made him a billionaire anyway. 

“Yes, actually I was surprised that you can present something like this.” He leaned forward and pointed to the graph on Tang Moyu’s proposal. “Are you sure you can achieve this target in three months?” 

“Definitely,” Tang Moyu said without batting an eyelid. She was confident that her ways would be able to reach their target without encountering any problem. 

“Big words from the empress herself,” Xu Wenyang chuckled which made Tang Moyu narrow her gaze at him. She’d been used to being called the empress. Truth to be told, the title meant nothing to her but ever since she came back to Shenzhen, it seemed that she would never be able to shed this unwanted title attached to her name. 

“Of course, I believe you, Miss Tang. The money wouldn’t be an issue here. In fact, I have a proposition for you if you’re interested to hear.” Xu Wenyang continued. 

Tang Moyu frowned at that. What was with men these days? First, it was Qin Jiran who presented her a proposition she couldn’t easily decline, and now Xu Wenyang? 

She leaned back on her seat and regarded Xu Wenyang for a moment. If he requested something out of the line, she would smack his head and run as fast as she could. She could always find a new investor who wouldn’t dare to harass her. 

“And that is?” She arched a brow at him. 

“I’ll double my investment if you can convince my wife not to divorce me.” Xu Wenyang said nonchalantly.

Xu Wenyang sighed. It had been days since Lin Qianrou left him and he had not seen her since then. She also refused to pick up his phone calls and had received a message to talk to her lawyer if he needed something. 

He wanted her back, but she wasn’t giving him a chance to rectify his mistakes. However, he also knew that his wife was quite close to Li Meili, whom he hadn’t met in person. What kind of husband was he that he didn’t even bother to know her friends? 

“I know that you have a limited time to find investors these days. I’m giving you a great deal here, don’t you think?” 

Tang Moyu’s face darkened. She really didn’t want to get involved with him nor his wife’s marital issues. If his wife wanted to divorce him, he must have done something stupid to make her ask for a separation. 

“My wife will be attending the monthly women’s banquet tomorrow with your good friend, Li Meili. I would be forever grateful to you if you can help me convince her not to pursue our divorce anymore,” he paused. “I know I screwed up, but why wouldn’t she hear me apologize for what I’ve done.” 

He then went on explaining what had happened during their wedding anniversary, which left Tang Moyu speechless from idiocy. For someone who was competent in business and trading, Xu Wenyang was kinda dumb when it comes to his wife’s feelings. 

“You mean to tell me that you ditched your wife on your anniversary to look after your ex?” Tang Moyu had now another reason to smack his head and run away. 

“Hey, Meng Yanran is my in-law now. My aunt. What’s wrong with looking after a family member?” Xu Wenyang said in defense. Why was it a big deal anyway? They weren’t even in love with each other and they were totally done. 

Was it the reason why Qian was furious at him? 

“Mr. Xu, quite stupid, are you? You almost married her, right? What would you feel if your wife ditches you on your dinner date to look after her ex? Would you be alright with it?” 

When Tang Moyu put it that way, Xu Wenyang swore he almost saw red at that moment. Just thinking about Qian meeting another man left a bad taste in his mouth.
