Tang Moyu endured the pain and forced herself off the bed and retrieved her clothes that were scattered on the floor. She could hear the shower running in the bathroom and realized that it must be the same man who defiled her.

‘Such a beast!’ She cursed him in her heart as she saw the marks he had left on her body.

Gritting her teeth in anger, she dressed quickly before leaving the hotel room with shaky legs. She had planned to find out who dares to scheme against her. As for the man who took her innocence, Tang Moyu wasn’t certain if she wanted to know his identity. Did he even know who she was before wolfing her down?

Tang Moyu then went to her children’s bedroom and saw them getting ready. Between the two, her Xiao Bao was the responsible one, looking after his sister, who Tang Moyu dearly calls her Little Star.

The twins’ faces lit up upon seeing her and ran towards her with glee, both grabbing her legs and hugging her.

“Good morning again, Mommy!” Little Star beamed a smile at her mother.

“Ready for breakfast?” Tang Moyu stooped down and picked her Little Star up while her Xiao Bao followed after them.

“Yay! Breakfast with Mommy today!” Little Star with glee while her elder brother shook his head in exasperation.

With her daughter placed on her hip to balance, Tang Moyu extended a hand to her son for him to take. Xiao Bao slid his small hand into hers, and together, they walked down the stairs and headed towards the kitchen.

“Mommy, what are we gonna eat for breakfast?” Little Star asked her once she placed her daughter on her seat while Xiao Bao took his seat beside his sister.

“Give me a minute, dear. I’ll see what we have,” Tang Moyu responded.

“Can we have pancakes?” Xiao Bao turned his head and watched their mother check the pantry and fridge for breakfast ingredients.

“Sure, honey. I think we have enough ingredients here to make some pancakes.” Tang Moyu then started making pancakes for her children. If someone had told her years ago that she would become a normal mother to a pair of twins, she would have laughed right on their faces.

She was raised and groomed to become the perfect wife for a business tycoon. Tang Moyu had no recollection of her being taught how to be a mother to her future children. It was no wonder that when she was carrying the twins, she was at a loss on how to deal with it and how to raise them alone.

Looking at her pair of twins, Tang Moyu didn’t regret not opting for an abortion back then.

“Yay! Pancakes! Can I have jam on mine, Mommy?” Her little girl requested which Tang Moyu responded with a hum while Xiao Bao scrunched his nose up in disgust.

“Why would you want jam?” He raised a slender brow to his sister. “Syrup is better.”

Little Star turned and faced her elder brother and glared at him.

“No, it’s not! Mommy is the one who taught me to eat it like that!” She contested.

“Yes, it is!” Xiao Bao argued.

“No, it’s—” Little Star couldn’t finish her words as their mother placed the pancakes in front of them.

“Hey, what did I say about not arguing in front of your meal?” Tang Moyu squinted her eyes at her children. “Tang Feiyu, Tang Feixiu! It’s not even seven in the morning and you two are already at it? Can’t Mommy have a peaceful breakfast without you fighting?”

“But it’s Yu Gege who started it,” Little Star pouted and shot her brother a glare.

Tang Moyu crossed her arms and frowned. She couldn’t really blame them because their sweet tooth came from her anyway.

“It doesn’t matter who started it. I don’t wanna hear it right now,” she told them with a stern look in her face.

The two kids lowered their heads in shame and apologized to their mother in low voices. It was unusual for them to spend the whole day with their mother as she was always busy with work, while they were left with a nanny to look after them.

Tang Moyu was now working as an independent financial advisor, helping individuals manage their money and investments. However, unlike before, she refused to compete and get unwanted attention from prominent personalities.

As an advisor, she utilized her knowledge and expertise to construct personalized financial plans that are aimed to achieve the financial goals of her clients. These plans include not only investments, but also savings, budget, insurance, and tax strategies, something businessmen would take interest in.

But regaining her status as the empress of the business world was not part of Tang Moyu’s plans and goal. She completely understood that the business world is another battlefield that only a couple of people can venture into.

The twins started eating their breakfast as Tang Moyu placed a plate of bacon and their fruit juices on the table before pouring steaming water into a teapot.
