Feng Tianyi was already on his bed, reviewing the doc.u.ments Song Fengyan had left earlier for him to check. He knew he shouldn’t make a big deal of what happened earlier, but was he supposed to understand and accept whatever Tang Moyu said and do without a complaint?

What he really wanted to do was to put her over his shoulders, throw her on the bed and discipline her the way he knew she would listen only to him. He lowered the doc.u.ments he was reading and shut his eyes, hoping he could reign down his desire for her.

Feng Tianyi admitted that he had desired the empress for a while now.

He heard the door of his room creak open, followed by the sound of light footsteps coming his way. He opened his eyes and saw Tang Moyu come to a stop, looking at him with curiosity.

So she still hadn’t realized why he was upset with her? For someone as smart as the empress, she was so slow when it involved her EQ, the devil thought.

“Baobao and Little Star told me to come here. I came to apologize for whatever reason I’ve done to upset you.” She told him straightforwardly without preamble.

Feng Tianyi only raised a brow and didn’t say anything in return, waiting for her next words. He set the doc.u.ments aside and stared back at her.

Seeing that he still refused to say anything to her, Tang Moyu sighed before taking a seat next to him, taking his large hand with hers. She examined his hand carefully, only to realize that she had rarely paid attention to what he wanted.

A slight guilt filled her chest. She suddenly felt like she was taking advantage of him. If it wasn’t for Feng Tianyi, she was sure that she wouldn’t easily acquire the control of Tang Enterprise.

Without his help, she was sure as hell she wouldn’t be able to save her sister, Tang Wanyu, from her abusive husband and from the Han family. The devil had been devoted to her, looking after her twins when she was away, always worrying about her.

However, Tang Moyu also knew that it was hard for her to know what was on his mind.

“You keep on giving me the cold treatment since we left with Meng Yanran. Tianyi, you keep implying about my wrongdoings, but why did you never ask me or talk to me about it? Am I supposed to guess what’s on your mind every time you act like this?”

Tang Moyu’s question caused Feng Tianyi to laugh helplessly to himself. How could he tell her that he was envious and mad at the flies that kept taking her attention from him? He’d been drowning himself in vinegar as he watched his woman from the sidelines as she was being taken away from him.

“I’m sorry. It’s my fault. I should haven’t gotten upset by trivial matters.” He sighed dejectedly. It wasn’t Tang Moyu’s intention to hurt him. He knew this, yet, he couldn’t help but be disappointed whenever she ignored him in favor of other people.

“And that is?” The empress continued to probe him with questions. She needed to know where she went wrong so she could avoid making the same mistake in the future.

“It’s okay, Moyu. I understand now.” The devil laughed awkwardly. His pride wouldn’t allow him to directly admit the reason behind his cold treatment towards her.

“I just wish we could have more quality time together. With your work, the twins and everything that comes our way, I just thought I barely have you for myself.” He confessed to the empress.

It was said that it was hard to placate a woman’s anger. Feng Tianyi admitted that it was his fault this time, so Tang Moyu shouldn’t overthink and jump into conclusions.

Frankly speaking, there shouldn’t be any issue between them right now, but his pride and ego had gotten in his way. Since when did he start eating vinegar anyway? Was it since the rumors about his woman and Yun Zhen started to spread within Shenzhen?

Tang Moyu regarded him for a moment. He still hadn’t disclosed everything to her and she was willing to wait. However, that didn’t mean she would allow misunderstandings to brew between them.

Aside from not asking for his opinion when she accepted Madam Rong’s invitation, Tang Moyu couldn’t remember anything she’d done today that could piss him off. Anyway, since he already said it was his fault, she had no other choice but to let it slide this time.

She already did what her little buns asked her to do, but why did she feel that they weren’t truly okay now? Something was amiss, but Tang Moyu couldn’t point it out. Was she missing something?

“You know this wouldn’t be easy for us, considering how busy I am, Tianyi.” She finally replied.

“Of course, I know it. But would it really be too much to have you for myself without any distraction from others when you’re not working?” Feng Tianyi retorted. Since Tang Moyu was still holding his hand, he took it and placed it over his chest, where she could feel his heart beating.

“Moyu, I want you. Stay with me, please.” His voice was so low, Tang Moyu almost missed it. His eyes told her that he’d been restraining himself for too long and was about to reach his limit.

The empress knew the implication of his words. Hadn’t he told her last night that she wouldn’t be able to escape from him the next time?

When Tang Moyu didn’t speak, Feng Tianyi laughed at himself. Although his facial expression wouldn’t reveal it, he was afraid. Afraid that Tang Moyu would refuse him.
