Feng Tianyi eyed his brother for a moment before chuckling lowly behind his hand.

“Tianhua, I don’t think you are in position to stop me from pursuing Tang Moyu. Or are you forgetting that the woman standing next to you is your wife and Tang Moyu was just a woman who used to be betrothed to you?” He reminded his younger brother, making sure that Feng Tianhua knew his place. 

“Whether I want to see, to date or to marry Tang Moyu… Tianhua, don’t forget she has nothing to do with you anymore. You lost your chances.” He then glanced at Xing Yiyue’s way, whose face was contorted with anger and disappointment.

“Worry about your wife. As for Tang Moyu…” he smiled devilishly, sending alarm bells ringing in the younger Feng brother’s head. “Leave her to me, will ya? I think she’s an interesting woman. How was she able to keep up cleaning after you for so long, I have no idea.” He pondered out loud.

“Anyway, Lady Wang, now that I’m back, I hope you don’t mind if I visit Feng Conglomerate soon. I want to know how my father’s company has been doing during my long absence.”

Wang Ruoxi had no other choice but to agree. Feng Tianyi still held a significant amount of shares in the company anyway, so it was only natural for him to get involved with their business.

Feng Tianyi gave his brother a pat on his shoulder before turning, ready to leave.

“Alright. I’ll see you then. I need to go back before someone notices I’m missing.” He said his parting words.

His mother wouldn’t be pleased to know that he came here to confront his father’s mistress and his half brother, Feng Tianhua. If it wasn’t because of Tang Moyu, he wouldn’t even bother to come here to see them.

Feng Tianhua could only look at his brother’s retreating figure, trying to simmer down his anger. Did Feng Tianyi know about his feelings for Tang Moyu? If so, was it the reason his brother tried to hit on the empress right in front of him?

Feng Tianyi knew his weak point and had used it to his advantage. He knew that Tang Moyu could be used against him, so he shamelessly made a move on her. Feng Tianhua was reminded why he hated his older brother. No matter what he does, Feng Tianyi always found a way to annoy him.

Meanwhile, Feng Tianyi had made his way back to the private quarters where he’d left Li Meili and Little Star. He assumed that Tang Moyu had also found her way to it and brought Xiao Bao with her.

“Meili, you have seen their faces.” Feng Tianyi heard Li Tianxin’s laugh the moment he opened the door and stepped inside. “Priceless! Especially Xing Yiyue’s face when Mr. Qin said he didn’t recognize her. Did she really think that most people would know who she was just because she’s been frequently appearing on TV?”

“Poor Xing Yiyue. She must have not known who she was talking to.” Li Meili laughed. “Anyway, Moyu. What does Wang Ruoxi want from you? Is she trying to mediate between you and Zhang Wuying again?”

Feng Tianyi sat on the leather couch, eyes fixated on the twins and Tang Moyu, who were at the other side of the room, busy eating together. He smiled at the scene. The trio was unstoppable when it comes to food.

“Mediate?” He asked Li Meili curiously. “What is it about?”

He didn’t know what kind of relationship Tang Moyu had with Wang Ruoxi. Just how much did the old woman know about the empress that she was willing to do the dirty work for Zhang Wuying?

“Ah, Mr. Qin. Moyu might have not told you about the nasty dynamics of her relationship with her mother, but Wang Ruoxi oftened gaslit Moyu when she was younger, always trying to make her feel bad about herself. She’s giving Zhang Wuying a hand and by convincing Moyu to listen to her mother every time they have an argument.” Li meili explained, eyeing her best friend who, until now, wasn’t truly free from her mother’s hold.

“You think they are planning something against her?” He asked again.

Li Meili shrugged before finishing her champagne in one go. Feng Tianyi now believed Tang Moyu when she said Li Meili could drink like a sailor. He wasn’t sure how many glasses this woman had already consumed since the party started.

“Maybe. Maybe not. Who knows what they’re planning to do with Moyu. The Tang family must have been shocked that she’d turn her back on them and seized the company for herself. A bunch of clowns. Do they really think Moyu would still help them after what they’ve done in the past?”

Lu Tianxin was saddened by the memory of it. Five years ago, even she couldn’t do anything to help or protect her cousin. The pain of betrayal that Tang Moyu had suffered from the Tang family was too much.

“Is that so?” The devil rubbed his chin. Perhaps he also needed to teach the Tang family a lesson not to mess with his wifey. “They can try, but I wouldn’t allow them to hurt her anymore than they already had.”

Feng Tianyi reconsidered his options. He was itching to destroy his brother and the Tang family with his bare hands, but he cannot do it without Moyu’s permission. She wouldn’t be pleased if he did something to her family behind her back.

“Don’t worry, Mr. Qin. Moyu already learned her lessons the hard way. I’m sure she wouldn’t be committing the same mistake of protecting them again.” Lu Tianxin chimed in and said her opinion over the matter.

Tang Moyu wasn’t alone anymore. She must have not noticed it yet, but Tang Moyu had managed to associate herself with the most prominent businessmen in Shenzhen since her return. It wouldn’t be easy for Feng Tianhua or the Tang family to subdue her without a good fight.
