Dungeon Predator Chapter 592

The battle continued on. 

Although Inarius possessed strength and magical prowess befitting a dragon, Kang Oh’s party was filled with some of Arth’s greatest players. 

Neither side held an advantage. 

Inarius had a lot of HP left, and its Fire Breath remained a threat. Not only that, but its magic hadn’t lost any of its potency. 

Kang Oh’s party hadn’t sustained any casualties yet. This was due to Isshin’s healing, as well as Eder and Strawberry Milk’s medicine/potions. 

‘Hmm!’ Inarius narrowed its eyes.

The bugs were much stronger than it’d anticipated. However, there were still only eight of them. 

Sometimes, simplicity was best. Overwhelming them with sheer numbers seemed to be the most effective strategy at this point in time. 

“Come out!”

Inarius disrupted this tense tug-of-war.

Bam!

Lava rose from the lake and filled the flat, floating island. Countless Lava Spirits had been summoned.

Flap!

Inarius flapped its wings, and oddly shaped Darkness Spirits arose from the darkness.

In total, there were several hundreds of spirits on the battlefield.

There were also combinations of these two; the Lava and Darkness Spirits had fused together to become something even greater.

Darkness Infused Lava Spirit!

There were only about ten of them, but they matched the strength of a Great Spirit.

Now, Inarius possessed an absolute numerical advantage!

Inarius smiled in satisfaction.

“There are too many of them!” Sephiro yelled.

“Let’s call some reinforcements of our own,” Kang Oh replied.

Inarius wasn’t the only one who could call allies.

“Ok!”

“Let’s do it!”

Kang Oh pulled out fifteen Guardian Summoning Scrolls from his inventory. He wasn’t called the Dungeon Predator for nothing, after all.

He ripped all of them simultaneously, creating several magic circles…

Whir! Whir! Whir! Whir!

One or two guardians appeared at a time.

Teynos, Indra, Redman, Violf, Wakaiser, etc. 

What a sight to behold. It was as if he’d come to a huge monster exhibition.

However, Bone Dragon Akite was conspicuously absent. He had the summoning scroll, but it was difficult to call it on a whim. 

First, it required a ton of money.

Second, he didn’t think Akite would be willing to kill another dragon for their sake. 

After all, there was no one more proud of its race than Akite.

Sephiro and Helena ripped their own Guardian Summoning Scrolls. Then, a giant rock stonemason and Steel Princess Amanda appeared.

To add to that, Helena used Ared’s Imaginary Projection to summon something unbelievable.

The Unicorn!

It was an incredibly striking beast with snow-white fur and a sharp horn on its forehead.

Meanwhile, Bart did what he does best.

Summon Giant!

An Ice, Fire, and Stone Giant appeared.

Asu, Nile, and Isshin couldn’t call upon allies.

Although she did have a soul dungeon, she wasn’t a Master yet, so she wasn’t able to receive a Guardian Summoning Scroll.

Nile and Isshin had no interest in dungeons, so they didn’t even have any soul dungeons.

And Valan… Well, as long as he had a sword in his hand, he was more than enough.

“I’ll kill you all!”

“Attack!”

A huge battle began.

The giant island had been completely filled.

The guardians, giants, and the Unicorn battled the legion of spirits.

Wakaiser flew into the air and engaged the bat-shaped Darkness Spirits, while the Iron Knight, Redman, swung its sword in a wide arc and swept through the Lava Spirits.

Indra was like a bulldozer. It charged with its tusks, annihilating anything in its way.

The Platinum Lion, Violf, was struck by a Darkness Infused Lava Spirit’s fist and fell to the floor, while Steel Princess Amanda summoned dozens of swords and rained them down on her opponents.

Bart’s giants worked together, swinging their fists one after another like dominos.

The Darkness Infused Lava Spirits spewed lava from their mouths, and there was an endless supply of spirits that swarmed Kang Oh’s party.

The Unicorn showed why it was called a mythological beast. It unleashed a wave-like energy from its horn, which eliminated dozens of spirits at once.

Two Darkness Infused Great Spirits attacked the Unicorn.

Neigh!

The sight of its burning fur brought it into a frenzy.

Tremble!

The sound of huge collisions shook the ground, and ear-rupturing booms continuously resounded throughout the battlefield.

Although there were way more spirits, their summons were way more powerful. In a head to head fight, the guardians would always win.

In exchange, the legion of spirits had Inarius on their side.

Inarius’s magic was undeniably powerful, and it also kept calling more and more spirits to its side.

Whatever the case, Kang Oh’s party was able to concentrate all their efforts on Inarius due to their summons.

‘Now.’ Kang Oh stashed Blood and pulled out Ubist.

His Frostblood Demon form disappeared, and he transformed into a demon with white streaks running through his jet-black body. There was a beast mask guarding his face, as well as glacial horns, gauntlets, and greaves on his forehead, arms, and legs respectively. This was the Black and White Demon.

He immediately pulled out fodder for Gluttony.

Kargagon’s Ferocious Double-Bladed Axe!

Kang Oh’s party had previously killed several bosses in order to refine their teamwork. One of those bosses was the Nine-headed Hydra, Kargagon.

This was the SS-rank axe he’d obtained from it.

Gluttony!

His jet-black blade expelled darkness, which transformed into a beast’s head, and consumed the axe starting from the hilt.

Crunch. 

It was as if it were eating candy.

[Summon Agon: Summons the Three-headed Hydra, Agon. It is an incredibly powerful mount.]

As expected, he didn’t get unlimited Stamina from it. Aside from that, however, he was satisfied with everything else.

‘Let’s go!’

Kang Oh rushed towards Inarius.

“We’re going with Plan 1.”

“Ok!”

Kang Oh’s party followed the plan they’d prepared beforehand.

It split their party into two groups: one focused on offense, and the other on support.

The entire party would support the two Grandmasters, Valan and Kang Oh, so that they could inflict damage without being interrupted.

It was a good strategy.

With the help of them and their pets, Kang Oh and Valan were able to act without any obstacles in their way.

Valan’s swordsmanship was, as always, a sight to behold.

He crushed the red dragon’s scales, which were said to be as strong as diamonds, like they were just ordinary beads, and ripped through its flesh, even though it was tougher than whale tendon.

Although it appeared like he was softly swinging his sword, every one of his strikes did massive amounts of damage.

However…!

At this moment, Kang Oh was even better than Valan.

Demon Sword Sarahoff was in Dragon Slayer Mode. Add to that Gluttony (using an SS-rank item) and a Grandmaster in his demon form!

He was the ideal hunter for killing Inarius.

Sarahoff’s dark red energy raked at Inarius’s body. It didn’t matter if Inarius cast a spell or defended itself with a barrier; it would break through them all.

A shower of thick shards of light, much like blood, fell from Inarius’s body.

“Kuhaahk!”

Inarius was afflicted with terrible pain.

Hoffman’s face, which was ever present behind Kang Oh’s body, smiled cruelly.

‘Make it hurt even more!’

Inarius’s golden irises were focused on Kang Oh alone. ‘I’ll kill you no matter what!’

He had truly drawn out a dragon’s fury.

Whoosh!

Flame pillars and darkness spears fell from the sky, and hand-shaped rocks rose from the ground. Perhaps it twisted the laws of gravity too.

Inarius cast all four of its elemental spells at Kang Oh.

Even Kang Oh wouldn’t be able to withstand a dragon’s full power.

He quickly used Moon’s Protection, and was encased in a yellow full moon.

Bam!

Inarius’s spells struck the barrier.

Tremble!

This was the first time he’d ever felt his barrier shake so violently. It was as if his barrier, which nullified all damage for 3 seconds, threatened to break.

‘Let’s get out of here.’

It was a wise decision.

Abyss Transfer!

Kang Oh’s body sank into the darkness.

However, something shocking happened.

“Where do you think you’re going!?” Inarius said furiously.

“Heot!” Kang Oh was forcefully pulled out of the darkness. 

Inarius was a master of darkness magic, so this was a piece of cake for it.

Kuhaahk.

Inarius tried to devour him. However, his companions didn’t just sit idly by.

Sephiro’s Shining Bombardment spun violently through the air. At almost the exact same time, Bart shot a Chaos Arrow, and Helena used Absolute Zero.

Absolute Zero started to freeze Inarius’s mouth. Right after, the two arrows hit their mark.

Boom! Boom!

However, they weren’t able to stop Inarius. It closed its mouth right then and there.

“Let him go!” Asu yelled.

“You bastard!” Nile leapt into the air and uppercutted it.

Beast Style: Mad Dragon Cannon!

The energy struck Inarius’s chin.

Then, Asu swung Fire’s Heart and unleashed flames that combined with Rudy’s.

Fire couldn’t hurt a Fire Dragon like Inarius. However, a Phoenix’s flames, which possessed purifying properties, could deal damage to a being as wicked as Inarius.

Roar!

Unfortunately, Inarius wouldn’t open its mouth and kept munching.

Valan didn’t plan on saving Kang Oh. Instead, he kept attacking Inarius where he was defenseless and dealt a considerable amount of damage to it.

He knew that Kang Oh would find a way out on his own. He wasn’t a Grandmaster for nothing, after all.

As soon as Kang Oh was consumed by Inarius, he used Abyss Predator.

His jet-black greatsword unleashed a massive deluge of darkness, which filled Inarius’s mouth to the brim.

However, Inarius did something he hadn’t expected.

Fierce Fire Dragon’s Breath!

In an instant, the inside of its mouth became clear and turned into an inferno. The darkness was completely swept away and dissipated.

‘Damn it!’

A dragon’s breath!?

If he didn’t do anything, then he’d die. And if he did die, he’d be revived by the Cassio Ring, but he would lose access to Gluttony.

It seemed like his companions were doing their best to help him on the outside, but Inarius wouldn’t budge.

He had to deal with this himself.

‘How?’

He didn’t have a lot of time either.

The fire, which had swept away his abyss energy, was right in front of him now.

‘If I want to stop that fire, then… ice. Yeah, the Ice Soul Wall!’

It was one of Sarahoff’s new abilities!

Ice Soul Wall!

His black blade, which had gained a dark red serration, radiated frigid energy that was cold enough to freeze the soul.

Glimmering ice crystals formed into a wall in front of him.

However, Inarius’s Fire Breath had come before the wall was fully complete.
