It had also to do with him not pushing her too much. She didn’t feel backed into a corner. And she felt a little guilty that she had forced him to tell things to her. 

She wanted to tell him and that was what made the difference.

She stretched up on her toes and wrapped her arms around his neck. “It feels like I was waiting for the right person to tell. You’re my person.”

After the storm and her cutting off her family, he really was her person. 

“I like the sound of that.”

And because she felt the same, she reached up to kiss his jaw. 

“You’re my man,” she whispered as her lips pressed light kisses towards his lips. 

He could tell that she was trying to keep her balance and struggling. The water sloshed around her as she stretched up on the very tips of her toes to kiss him. He was too tall. 

So, he moved his hands down from her hips to her thighs as he bent down a little and hoisted her into his arms.

Qian Meng wrapped her legs around his waist and smiled. 

Mo Qingchen always handled her so effortlessly. What women didn’t like the feel of being weightless in her man’s arms?

“I like the sound of that even more,” he said, looking up at her instead of down. 

They looked into each other’s eyes for a long time. His were intense, full of what was growing between them and he couldn’t express.

He felt it bubbling inside of him. He felt it creep into his chest. He couldn’t pinpoint the exact moment he started to feel this way, but he knew there was no going back. Qian Meng had changed him in a way that he would never be the same again. 

It was terrifying and wonderful. He felt so much that he might have wanted to puke. 

“What are we doing?” he asked her quietly, his voice shaking a little.

Qian Meng looked at him hesitantly for a split second before taking a deep breath. Now that she knew his feelings, she wouldn’t hold back her words. 

“We’re falling in love.”

He wasn’t quite sure of that word but he also didn’t have anything to say at that moment. There was nothing adequate to express how he felt. So, instead, he kissed her.

She put her hand on the back of his head and pulled him to her as his lips descended upon hers passionately. Like this, she would meet him in the middle. 

It started off slow and sweet, but it heated up quickly. His hands were busy holding her, but hers grabbed and pulled at him in a frantic attempt to get closer to him. They moaned against each other’s lips simultaneously. 

Then he did that thing where he would bite her bottom lip and then suck on it. And she was wet. 

“Qingchen,” she moaned.

He quieted her by pushing his tongue into her mouth and moving against her. His body was in perfect rhythm with hers. 

Suddenly, they were moving. Qian Meng squealed but didn’t know where he was taking her. And honestly, she didn’t care enough to open her eyes to see. He could have been taking her further into the water to throw her over the ledge and she wouldn’t give a damn as long as he kept kissing her the way he was at that moment. 

Her body was jostled around in his arms as he walked, but their lips never broke apart. Her heart was beating frantically and the tempo of their breathing grew heavier and lustful. 

She realized that they had entered the room when the cold air of the air-conditioner hit her, making her skin break out into goosebumps. 

Although she knew exactly where they were headed at that point, it didn’t stop the surprised squeak that came from her lips when he dropped her down onto the bed. 

She looked up at him as she bounced from the impact. He was an absolute vision. His wet body and tousled hair were nice, but it was the way he was looking at her that made her want to burrow her head in the pillow and squeal like a teenager. 

He made her feel beautiful. He looked at her with such reverence that it took her breath away. 

“You don’t mind me wet and dripping on your precious bed?” she asked. The innuendo was clear in her voice. He looked stunned for a second but forgot all of it when she arched her back and twisted herself so that she was pulling the tie that held her bikini top together.

She pulled it from around her neck and off her body, tossing it to the ground, somewhere by the bed. Her nipples hardened in the cold air. 

“I wish you could see yourself right now,” Mo Qingchen said in a husky voice as he stepped forward and placed his hands on her knees. “You are breath-taking right now in the moonlight, half-naked and looking at me like that.”

She bit her lip in anticipation. “How am I looking at you?” she asked. She hoped she returned the same way he looked at her. 

He scrutinized her for a second. “Like we could be in a crowd of millions of people and you wouldn’t notice anyone but me.”

Ah, so she looked at him the say way. It was probably true.

She shuddered. “Qingchen… I have never wanted anything more than I want you right now.”

“When have I been able to deny you anything?” It was a rhetorical question. 

He slid his hands from her knees to her thighs and then to her hips where he fingered the waistband of her bikini bottoms teasingly. He tugged at them slowly and she sighed happily as she lifted her hips to allow him to pull them over the curve of her ass. 

She didn’t know what came over her, but she attempted to be intentionally sexy.
