He finally stopped at a large waterfall at dusk and carried Bai Qingqing into the lake under the waterfall.

Bai Qingqing clenched her hands by her sides, her back pressed closely against the cold stone wall, feeling a coldness spread throughout her internal organs.

Cortis, however, quickly kept away the coldness in his eyes and said blandly, “I’m going to hunt.”

He then transformed into a snake and glided out of the stone cave.
