Chapter 85: Changes

“Now, we have a third person with special abilities. Plus, she’s very powerful. No wonder a woman like you dared to travel alone before,” said Gu Jin excitedly. He was very lucky that he got to meet such a powerful person!

Yang Shao paused for a moment and looked at Gu Jin. He asked curiously, “Third? Do you mean to say that the two of you also have superpowers?”

‘This is ridiculous!

‘Why didn’t he tell us earlier if he had superpowers?

‘I could have relied on him and slack off!’

Gu Jin laughed awkwardly and replied, “No, not me. It’s my wife and son.”

Yang Shao could have guessed that the little boy had superpowers based on his appearances, but Zhao Ying?

“What is your ability?”

Zhao Ying frowned and stretched out her hand. A small flame appeared out of nowhere. After a short while, the small flame died out.

“Why was the flame so small? Can you use fire to attack people? If you can, demonstrate on those people. After all, they are all just trash that needs to be taught a lesson,” said Yang Shao.

When the man heard that, he immediately shouted angrily, “How can you say something like that? Let’s work something out. We can help you. I’m especially useful!”

Survival was the most important thing in an apocalypse. If the man could convince Li Ran’s party that he was valuable, they would spare him.

However, no one responded to him.

Zhao Ying said in a low voice, “I can’t make it any bigger. It’s only useful as a lighter.”

“Don’t beat yourself up so much. It’s not bad.”

Even if Zhao Ying could only produce a small flame, Yang Shao was still very envious. After all, he had no unique ability. Wang Gang did not either but he was very strong when it came to combat. Ordinary people could not dream of beating him.

With a long sigh, he looked at the people who were captured by the vines and asked, “What should we do with them?”

Li Ran looked around and noticed the pile of white bones on the ground. She took a few steps back out of shock!

“What is this?”

Wang Gang also saw the bones. There was not even a bit of flesh left.

They looked at each other without saying a word.

Suddenly, a howl could be heard coming from above. It stopped shortly after and another pile of bones fell to the ground. One of the men was dead. It was obviously caused by the vines.

A foul smell was emitted and a dripping sound could be heard from not too far away.

The man was so scared that he had wet his pants.

Yang Shao felt a chill run down his spine. He quickly pinched his nose and took a step back.

Tears began falling from the man’s eyes. He looked at Li Ran and cried bitterly, “I beg of you, forgive me. I know what I did was wrong. Please spare me.”

Li Ran was dumbfounded. She looked at the willow branches that were still giving her a massage and fell into deep thought.

Although she looked innocent, everybody believed that she had commanded the vines to kill the person!

Yang Shao gave Li Ran a big thumbs up.

“Very decisive. Women are indeed ruthless!”

Li Ran quickly waved her hand.

“It really wasn’t me. I didn’t do anything.”

All of a sudden, the man was also reduced to bones. Before he died, his screams of terror could be heard.

The willow tree’s vines became to further constrict the remaining two people’s bodies. They were so tight that both of the men’s faces turned red and their eyes were about to pop out.

The vines moved further into the air and began to formulate a dome. Almost every inch of sunlight was blocked.

Li Ran realized that something was wrong and immediately called for everyone to enter the car!

They did not question her and hopped on at once. Li Ran quickly dispelled the vines that were surrounding her car. However, the vines were tenacious and began to envelop her car again.

The car was lifted into the air. There was no way to break free.

Li Ran glanced at the vines. She was trying to control them like how she did before.

Unfortunately, it did not work. The vines only paused for a moment and still would not let go of the car.
