Feeling the energy from the head, Zhao Yao blinked and stood up gradually.

The Metal Man behind him became grim and abruptly applied pressure to restrain Zhao Yao once again.

He discovered that Zhao Yao was like a self-turning star.

He looked in shock as Zhao Yao’s palm grabbed his head as though he was a puppet and lifted him up with ease.

“Little friend, what did you say?” Zhao Yao applied pressure from his palm and crunching sounds were heard as cracks appeared on the Metal Man’s head.

“Let me go!” The Metal Man shouted in panic. He flung his strong hands and legs at Zhao Yao. Hundreds of tons of energy landed on Zhao Yao’s, creating loud banging sounds and large cracks on the ground beneath them. However, Zhao Yao remained intact and did not move an inch.

His long arms were like invincible beams that were fixed firmly in mid-air, as he grasped the Metal Man’s head tightly.

“Release him!”

“Release him immediately!”

“Cover your head! Kneel down!”

The surrounding apostles were agitated and aimed their weapons at Zhao Yao, ready to fire and kill him if he failed to cooperate.

Seeing their attention fixed on him, Zhao Yao said grimly, “Shut up.”

After Zhao Yao activated Sleep Medusa, all the apostles fell to the ground and passed out.

In the faraway command center, a Natural Disaster Representative, Steve, was directing the battle operations.

He heaved in relief when Zhao Yao was surrounded and captured. “Be careful. Let David and his team take precautions. The enemy is an apostle with complex superpowers. Don’t let him escape.”

The images of the surveillance monitor ignited cries of shock in the command center.

The Metal Man David was defeated with ease and groups of apostles fell to the ground. Zhao Yao walked out casually and melted into the base walls.

“What’s happening?” Steve said bewilderedly. “What’s happening to David?”

“I don’t know! Everyone passed out!”

“Revive them immediately!”

No matter how David and his team used the sound wave weapons and the automated firefighting equipment, they were unable to revive the unconscious apostles.

While they were at a loss, the unconscious apostles finally woke up.

Steve shouted into the microphone, “David! How’s everyone? What happened? What superpower is that?”

Steve was met with replies of shrill screams. The awakened apostles ran around wildly as if they had seen something terrifying. Nobody paid attention to Steve’s order.

After eight seconds, the pandemonium stopped and the apostles were dazed. Once they recalled their actions, they felt fearful.

Steve’s adjutant shouted, “Bad news officer, our target’s missing.”

“Check all surveillance monitors!” Steve shouted. “Activate the highest base defense level one. We have to find him!”

Zhao Yao activated Time Freeze, Tunneling, Illusion, and Deflective Field Invisibility so they only managed to see Zhao Yao appearing at various parts of the base and were unable to capture him.

“This is outrageous!” Steve said in anger. “Is he having a stroll in the park?” He turned to the adjutant and barked, “What about the automated defense system? And the intelligent weapon systems? Those systems cost a hefty 5 billion dollars and they promised an advanced and powerful defense system that can’t restrain a single person?”

“No!” The adjutant explained. “He possesses Optical Invisibility and Sense-Shielding Invisibility. Our surveillance monitors and image recognition system were unable to detect him. Even apostles are unable to determine his presence…”

“His Tunneling superpower bypasses all the base defenses with ease.”

“Disperse the apostles throughout the entire base. I want them to guard every inch of the base!” Steve roared. “Once the target’s located, attack immediately. Leave no mercy!”

Warning sirens filled the entire base as numerous apostles ran hurriedly to their stations with anxiety on their faces.

After searching for half a day, they did not discover Zhao Yao’s trail. When everyone thought he had left, a transparent figure descended from the roof of the command center.

Zhao Yao looked at the crowd in the command center and asked, “Hey? Where did you hide the supercats?”

Everyone looked up when they heard the voice but they could not see anything. Elizabeth’s power of Illusion deprived them of the ability to see Zhao Yao.

Zhao Yao did not wait for the reply and exited through the ceiling, leaving a gaping crowd looking at the ceiling.

Sheriff, who was in Zhao Yao’s arms, closed his eyes to do mind reading. “Turn right… turn left at a cross junction.”

Steve raged in the command center and shouted, “Insolence! He’s too arrogant! Capture him!”

The adjutant said in surprise, “He found the supercats in the base!”

“What?”

Everyone looked at the huge screen showing the surveillance video. One by one, the supercats in the safe house disappeared.

Though the supercats were not the nine pioneer supercats, they were powerful supercats stationed to protect the base. Everyone’s eyes turned red as they witnessed Zhao Yao capture all their supercats.
