Tentacles as high as mountains swept across and flattened the manor grounds. Clouds in the sky were perforated and a violent gale uprooted trees of the nearby forests. Arthas and the black man backed off in terror.

Arthas panicked and screamed, “Kill him! Kill him!”

The Subconscious Army charged at Project X again.

Arthas said in shock, “The energy field of the dreamscape was negated by the stronger energy field of the creature.”

“He’s immune to the sound wave illusion.” Arthas gaped. “He shut off his five senses and uses an advanced method to sense this world.”

Seeing the flames, lightning and frost being absorbed and assimilated into Project X, Arthas trembled. “Project X is evolving and is absorbing incremental amount of energy.”

The subconscious Zhao Yao used all his might to attack but he was easily blocked by a tentacle and drawn into Project X’s body.

“D*mn… what an incredible power!” Arthas inhaled a gust of cold air. “He had surpassed the limits of flesh and blood. Perhaps he is evolving towards non-carbon structure…”

Project X was unaffected by the control illusion as he separated into numerous clones. After they squirmed out of the main body, their eyes lit up and fired crimson lasers, vaporizing all apostles and supercats.

Arthas’ legs started trembling. “He’s can duplicate superpowers. What a terrifying creature!”

All attacks against Project X were in vain as he would use the same superpower to kill his attackers.

As the grotesque body of Project X grew larger and larger, Arthas felt a mixture of terror and hopelessness that he had not experienced before. He could not imagine such a terrifying creature in this world.

Project X shook his body gently and a layer of darkness covered the surface of his body.

“He’s evolving again?” Arthas moaned. “He’s able to attack with casual movements and his vibrations are converted to heat energy for consumption. His defenses are getting stronger.”

The black man standing beside Arthas was dripping cold sweat as he said, “My Lord, you’ve to stop this dreamscape. This creature will kill all of us.”

Arthas shook his head as he said reluctantly, “No, I can’t stop the dreamscape… The price is too high. I must not stop this dreamscape. It’s alright, he can’t fly…”

Project X’s body extended towards the sky. With the aid of gravitational force, his mountainous body gradually floated.

Millions of tentacles twirled around his body. From far, it looked like a dark sun rising in the sky.

The black man said anxiously, “My Lord, you’ve got to stop the dreamscape! He’ll kill everyone and we’ll go into a vegetative state in the real world!”

Arthas hesitated as his paws trembled incessantly.

The flying Project X extended his tentacles and aimed them at Arthas. The tentacles warped and opened up, revealing organic laser cannons that were targeting Arthas.

As though the sun had exploded, the light rays Illuminated the sky and engulfed Arthas and the black man.

The revived Arthas made his decision. “I’ll stop this dreamscape.”

Arthas’ face looked very grim. “Stop… I can’t stop the dreamscape… Someone’s taking control of the dreamscape…”

He looked at the flying Project X as though he had lost his family and his fear peaked. “It’s him? How did he do that? I spent a year training and depended on the Meteorite Fragment for the past few years to increase my superpower before I could use the Dream Dimension!!”

The black man sweated profusely as he said, “What? You can’t stop the dreamscape? What are we going to do?”

“Stop the violence. This is the only way.” Arthas’ eyes lit up as he focused his attention. Willpower was his true power.

“I declare that everything stops right now.”

Silver rays covered the entire dreamscape as reality and dreamscape disintegrated. Darkness fell upon everyone. When they recovered, they found themselves in the main hall of the manor.

Everyone looked dazed as most of them could not recall the dreamscape that they were in.

Dreams were weaved by the subconscious. Those without strong willpower were not able to recall their dreams.

Having the strength of six cats that surpassed normal people, Zhao Yao immediately recalled the events in the dreamscape. He checked the Extradimensional Belly and found Project X motionless in the vacuum environment. He heaved in relief.

He searched for traces of Arthas.

At the back door of the manor, the black man, Coco Wang, and Arthas fled in a hurry.

Arthas said fearfully, “Escape… we have to escape. We’ve got to bring news of the dreamscape to the others.”

He said feebly, “Zhao Yao possessed within his body the power to destroy the world.”

Recalling the gigantic figure of Project X in the dreamscape, their eyes were filled with terror.

The dreamscape was manifested based on the dreamers’ subconscious knowledge. The events that occurred in the dreamscape were based on reality.

Arthas and Coco Wang made use of the dreamscape to organize banquets, where they could gain prestige, obtain classified information and facilitate the assimilation of the Star Cats into the upper echelon of society. Then they would have greater power in the human society.

They did not expect their plans to backfire.

Before they ran out of the manor, they heard a gust of wind. Zhao Yao was casually walking in front of Arthas, Coco Wang, and the black man.

Arthas roared frantically, “Shut your eyes and ears! Don’t look and listen to him!” After the encounter in the dreamscape, Arthas had discovered Zhao Yao’s superpowers.

The black man transformed his body into a stream of flames and charged towards Zhao Yao.

Coco Wang swiveled and fled while carrying Arthas.

They knew they were no match for Zhao Yao so they wanted to escape.

Zhao Yao looked at their backs and said, “Stay.”

They heard a gentle sigh by their ears. In the next moment, the burning black man transformed back to human form and fell to the ground.

Coco Wang’s eyes were filled with darkness and she fainted.

The black man thought he was immune to Zhao Yao’s superpower by transforming into fire while Coco Wang struggled to carry Arthas so she did not shield her hearing.

Arthas shut both his ears and eyes and trembled as he curled into a ball on the ground.

Zhao Yao smiled. Capturing Arthas in reality was much easier than he thought.

He had a lot of questions about the dreamscape for Arthas.
