Chapter 156: Why Are There Giants?

“Let me take a look!” Lucifer began sieving through the contest of the phone. Four other supercats huddled behind it to take a look. Five pairs of large round eyes stared at the phone screen as Lucifer flipped from one page to another.

“Look! There it is!” Ares slammed its paws onto the screen. Instead of opening the application, Ares had accidentally pressed back.

Lucifer turned around and glared at Ares angrily and said, “I am in charge of the phone, do not click on the screen unless I give you permission to do so!”

Lucifer carefully navigated through all the applications before reaching a folder labeled “top secret.”

All the cats’ eyes flickered with anticipation as they shouted in unison, “This must be it! Quickly open it!”

“I know! You don’t have to rush me!” Lucifer tapped on the folder and reached another folder which was labeled “Do not open”.

The tabby cat’s forehead creased together and asked, “What are we supposed to do? The folder already told us not to open it.”

“R*tard! Are you just going to listen to what the folder name says? This only means that there are some important secret documents hidden inside it.” Lucifer turned a deaf ear to the tabby cat’s words and clicked on the folder.

Another new folder labeled “Matcha, I’ll blow your head into pieces if you open this folder” emerged.

Lucifer did not heed the warning and tapped on the folder again. A new folder labeled “Human race’s biggest secret” appeared on the screen.

The corner of Lucifer’s mouth curled up as it eagerly tapped the folder. Inside it was no longer folders, but many files. The tile of the files resembled Chinese characters, but they could not understand the words.

“What is this?”

“It might be some sort of code word.”

“Open it and take a look!”

Lucifer tapped on the icon, and a video started to play.

All five supercats stared at the video wide-eyed. The video depicted a sad story where a man continually abused a young girl.

Lucifer’s forehead creased together as it asked, “Why isn’t the girl in the video wearing clothes? Aren’t humans supposed to wear clothes all the time?”

Ares suggested, “She might be a different breed of human. Most cats are covered with fur, but there are some that are furless. The girl in the video might be a breed of humans who do not wear clothes.”

Fūjin let out a loud yawn and commented, “This is so boring! We are just watching two humans mating. How long are we going to continue watching this for?”

“I’ll search for something different to watch,” Lucifer exited from the video and tapped on a new file.

However, after opening all the files in the folder, they came to realize that they all shared the same content.

“It’s all videos of humans mating. Is that the only thing that humans do?”

“No wonder Ho Hao Cang forbids us from leaving the house. Human’s knowledge was limited to mating.”

“The files in this folder were just a distraction! The secrets must be hidden in some other files!”

All five supercats grew bored after watching the repetitive content over and over again. After a round of discussion, they decided to look through the rest of the phone to find the secret file.

After ransacking the entire content inside the phone, they realized that they could not understand the file names for most files. However, there was a file labeled “Attack on Titan” in the video folder.

“There’s finally a title that we can understand.”

“Lucifer, quickly tap on it and see what’s inside.”

A heart-thumping music erupted from the phone’s speakers when Lucifer tapped on the file. Even though they could not understand a single word in the song, they felt their hearts beating faster and adrenalin being pumped all over their bodies.

This was the first time they had watched anime. They were taken aback by how detailed and realistic the drawings were. There was a seamless transition between each frame, and the animation was captivating.

Their eyes were glued to the screen, and they suddenly found themselves in a world filled with giants. The giants had been destroying the planet and humans erected three giant walls to ward off the giants. The story revolved around how the giants attempted to penetrate the wall and kill the human population.

“Attack on Titan” was incredibly famous for a period. Many humans flocked to it for its fast-paced plot, enchanting music, and the enthralling storyline.

The five supercats which had never been exposed to anime had been captivated by it after watching such a marvelous piece of work.

They watched the entire episode without blinking even once.

“Oh! The giants are so scary!”

“They have killed so many people! The outside world is truly frightening!”

“All of you shut your mouth!” Ares demanded as it pressed its finger to its lips. It continued, “Pay attention to the video and keep quiet!”

Meanwhile, within the yellow container inside the extradimensional belly, earthquake cat was staring at her surrounding as her eyes seethed with anger.

“How long are they going to keep me here for?”

“I’m angry! I’m furious! I’m mad!”

“I’m going to destroy the entire city once I leave this place! I’ll let the entire world understand my pain!”

The following morning, Zhao Yao let out a loud yawn before he crawled out of his bed.

With the influence of Celestial Beats, he was able to enjoy a wonderful sleep. A throbbing headache which he suffered from before his sleep had vanished. The energy depleted from the use of the perfect illusion had returned to his body.

Zhao Yao began stretching his body before he sat up straight on the couch. He turned his head and saw Matcha hugging his legs and sleeping soundly.

He carefully retracted his legs and began looking around his apartment.

“Hmm, I guess Matcha, Elizabeth, Roly Poly, Dust Ball, and Mango are all at home.” Zhao Yao nodded his head gleefully. He opened his mouth to let out another yawn before a frightening thought flashed across his head, “S*it! Earthquake cat is still inside my extradimensional belly, and I have forgotten to let her out!”

He immediately switched to Dust Ball’s power and concentrated on his extradimensional belly.

He first located the earthquake cat inside the yellow container. Then, he saw a Scottish Fold which was boiling in anger as she stared daggers at her surroundings. The boxes, food wrappers and mineral bottles around her had been torn to pieces.

It was apparent that earthquake cat had vented all her frustration at anything that she saw.

However, Zhao Yao heaved a sigh of relief when he realized that she did not inflict any injuries on herself during the rampage.

He immediately focused his attention on the blue container which contained the five supercats.

“The phone has run out of battery!” Lucifer cried in despair. The cat looked as if it had aged ten years since Zhao Yao first met it.

“What is going to happen next?” Ares nibbled on its lower lip and stomped its foot in frustration. It continued, “Why are there walls? Why are there giants? Why did Eren turn into a giant?”

“I want to watch the next episode!” The Siamese cat screamed at the top of its lungs, “I’ll let anyone touch my fur if they help me charge the phone right now!”

It vented its frustration by altering the air currents around it and started slamming its head against the wall of the container.

The fat tabby cat floated to the Siamese cat and stared into its eyes. It had no expression on its face. It just kept mumbling one word repeatedly, “Battery, battery, battery, battery!”
