“Stop, who sent you?”

Bai Jing gripped a thug’s arm. She exerted a little strength, and the sound of bones cracking could be heard.

The thug wailed and knelt on the ground.

The leader saw that his little brother was being bullied. He held a machete and rushed towards her. “Little girl, you look pretty. Mind your own business!”

“Otherwise, if your face is ruined, don’t blame this brother for being ruthless!” He sized up Bai Jing with lecherous eyes and spoke nonsense.

Bai Jing pursed her lips and looked at him with a gaze so calm that it could make one’s hair stand on end. She spat out one words, “Scum.”

She propped herself up on the round table at the front desk and kicked the leader’s carotid artery, knocking him to the ground. Looking at the chaotic environment, Bai Jing walked to Si Qian’s side.

“Are you okay?” He asked. Looking into Bai Jing’s confused eyes, he chuckled. “Yes, they’re unlucky to have met you.”

Bai Jing picked up a lost business card from the ground and said calmly, “They’re from the Bai family.”

“They? Why did they tear down my lab?” Si Qian was puzzled. He didn’t have any interaction with the Bai family.

Bai Jing didn’t understand human’s roundabout ways. She blinked and explained bluntly, “Yesterday, he found out about our marriage and despised you for being poor and unable to bring benefits to the Bai family. So, he forced me to divorce you. I didn’t agree, so I retaliated.”

“Oh?” Si Qian didn’t know whether to laugh or cry, but he was moved by Bai Jing’s honesty. “Thank you for your firm choice.”

“Do you want me to go home with you… to get back at them and vent out all your grievances?” Si Qian said softly.

Bai Jing shook her head and maintained a safe distance from Si Qian. She picked up two tables and chairs and placed them where they were. She drew the line seriously and said, “I agreed to marry you so I could use this laboratory. To put it simply, it’s a business relationship.”

“After I successfully develop the drug that I need, I will upgrade the drug to increase strength and get a divorce.”

“The Bai family is my business. I will handle it myself.”

Bai Jing’s attitude made Si Qian feel depressed. He could even feel the undisguised disdain of the woman in front of him towards him!

Bai Jing looked at the list and wrote zero after the two largest items. She looked at Si Qian with surprise. “If you don’t want it, you can transfer it to me after the compensation has been paid. I’m very short of money.” She nodded, stopped the taxi, and left.

Si Qian didn’t come back to his senses for a long time. Then, he thought of her actions and smiled even wider.

Bai Jing saw the three people sitting around the dining table. She walked closer and directly threw the details of the compensation to Bai Guangcai.
