She took a bit of the ice cream. It did not taste as good as her father’s cooking, but she could taste some energy in it. “You added energy to it?”

“Yes.” He said, “Energy needs to be well absorbed by the body. It has to be purified and passed through a medium. This is more effective than you drinking my blood directly. Ah Luo, you need energy the most at this time. I promised that I would help you collect it.”

“You also said that you would get Gu Jinxiu to send it to me.” Her voice was cold. “You know I don’t want to see you.”

She turned her face to the side. Anything he said now was too late. The ice cream melted in her mouth a little and his familiar energy flowed along her capillaries to her heart.
