In the hotel room, the girl on the rug was pale white, with seemingly no opportunity to live. The knife had cut her artery and fresh blood was flowing out, dying her body red.

Xia Yingluo didn’t stay idle. Her hands moved swiftly to tear the corners of her clothes and she used it to wrap around her wound. Her technique was professional and she quickly wrapped the wound. The fresh blood stopped and didn’t keep flowing out. However, Jin Ling’er’s eyes were still tightly shut and her face was as thin as gold paper.

Xia Yingluo forcefully dragged the blanket on the bed down and covered Jin Ling’er’s body with it to give her warmth. “Ling’er, you have to get through this stage, do you hear me?” She held onto Jin Ling’er’s cold hand that had lost too much blood and kept encouraging her.

The hotel room’s door opened and Zhao Yixuan appeared at the door holding a scrumptious meal. Seeing the situation in the hotel room, his expression was filled with shock. “What happened? Yingluo, how come you can move? What happened to Jin Ling’er??”

Xia Yingluo looked up at Zhao Yixuan. Her expression was composed, but her eyes were teary. “Ling’er got cut by a knife and her life is barely hanging on. I called the ambulance. Zhao Yixuan, come and help me rescue her!”

Zhao Yixuan was still in shock. “How did you move, did you injure her?”

Xia Yingluo simply wanted to ignore this stupid pig, so she said, “Get a few heat packs here. Her body is too cold, she can’t keep dropping her body temperature like this or she won’t be able to make it.”

Zhao Yixuan hesitated and didn’t move.

Xia Yingluo was furious. “Are you not going? If anything happens to Ling’er, I want you to be buried with her!”

Xia Yingluo was anxious. She waited impatiently and finally, she heard the sound of the ambulance. The first aid staff lifted Jin Ling’er onto a stretcher and they whizzed on the road to the hospital.

They immediately entered the emergency room.

The emergency room flashed red lights and Xia Yingluo paced about helplessly. She sat down onto the long bench in the corridor, her face pale. This was all her fault, she had dragged Jin Ling’er down. If it wasn’t because Zhao Yixuan came after her, he wouldn’t have done anything to Jin Ling’er. And Pei Yan too, she had drawn in Jin Ling’er because of her hatred. At the thought of this, Xia Yingluo felt a tight pain in her heart.

Zhao Yixuan stayed by her side. He thought now was the time to be a sunshine boy for her, so he took off his jacket and put in on Xia Yingluo. “Yingluo, are you cold? You should take care of your own body and don’t catch a cold.”

Xia Yingluo waved him away. “Get lost!”

Zhao Yixuan’s expression stiffened.

Xia Yingluo couldn’t care about him. She put her palms together and silently prayed for Jin Ling’er. After a long time, the emergency room doors finally opened and a doctor wearing a gown and mask came out.

“Doctor, how is Jin Ling’er?” Xia Yingluo asked urgently.

The doctor shook his head. “We’re still trying to rescue her. I have to bring the medicine over. Are you the patient’s family? Inform the family immediately and ask them to come. It might be the last time they see her.”

Xia Yingluo’s heart thumped. “Her condition is that terrible?”

The doctor said hurriedly, “Her main artery was ruptured and she has lost too much blood. If not for the efficiency of the emergency team, she wouldn’t have made it to the ambulance.” Then, he rushed away.
