Pei Ziheng stared at her for a while, then he took off his suit jacket and covered her body with it.

He was tall, and the tailored suit jacket made her seem petite and curled up when placed over her body. He embraced her with the clothes between them. The iron-gray suit jacket slipped slightly and revealed half of her white glistening shoulder as well as her sleek, curvy legs. Hearing the noise, he turned to smother the flame and bowed respectfully. “Boss.”

Pei Ziheng asked, “Where’s the rest?”

Chu Chen said, “I told them to keep watch nearby. Do you want them to come back?”

Pei Ziheng said, “No, you drive, let’s go back to the hotel.”

Chu Chen was very perceptive. Although he had long noticed the unconscious girl in his arms, he was tactful and didn’t ask him anything. He pulled open the door to the rear seat and let his Boss get in with the girl, then he went over to the driver’s seat.

Her face was deathly pale and drained of blood, like a rag doll that had been torn.

“Busybody,” Pei Ziheng said.

Chu Chen did not speak anymore. He continued to drive forward and the car fell into a dead silence.

Suddenly, he heard Pei Ziheng ask, “What else did you ask?”

Chu Chen said, “He’s a local rogue, a gangster. A few days ago he saw Xia Yu looking for a taxi near the red light district and disguised as a taxi driver. He defrauded her trust and went to pick up Xia Ling.”

Pei Ziheng asked, “She went all the way to the red light district to find a car?”
