“Uncle Li!” Xia Ling pulled on his sleeves. She didn’t want anyone to find out about her identity. If Brother Pei were to find out she was here, how could she surprise him?

The driver endured and did not speak.

He was not worried that Li Bingyu and her entourage would do anything to Xia Ling. They couldn’t possibly fight with her, right? With Xia Ling’s identity, why should she be afraid of threats and coercion? What’s more, he was there to guard her. If anything was to happen to her, he would be there to stop it.

The assistant saw that he was not speaking and thought that he was afraid. He waved his hand impatiently. “Get lost, get lost quickly.”

The driver stood next to Xia Ling and did not move. Not to mention that he had to guard Xia Ling, even if he was alone, he wouldn’t take orders from the opponent’s little assistant telling him to get out of the elevator! Who was he, he was Pei Ziheng’s loyal driver. He could throw his own face, but he couldn’t throw Pei Ziheng’s face!

Seeing that he wasn’t moving, Xia Ling was even more confident. She looked up at the assistant provocatively. “Get lost? We won’t. Why don’t you get lost first to show us?”

“You!” The assistant was furious. Who on earth was this girl that owed a whipping?!

With those few words exchanged, Li Bingyu had already walked to the elevator. She looked down at Xia Ling inside the elevator and said arrogantly, “What qualification do you have to snatch the elevator from me?”

Xia Ling suddenly felt that this Sister Li Bingyu did not have the beauty and elegance on TV at all. She looked up and glared unhappily at her. “Didn’t your former teachers not teach you what ‘First Come First Serve’ is?”

Some people in the crowd couldn’t help but laugh.

This Li Bingyu had been arrogant in Imperial Entertainment for a really long time. Many people had already found her unpleasant but did not dare to speak out. Thus, Xia Ling’s words were now helping them vent their anger and bending the corner to scold Li Bingyu for having no manners!

Ever since Li Bingyu rose to fame, she had not been humiliated in public before. Now, she stared coldly and fiercely at her assistant and manager. The two took the hint and were about to reach out to pull Xia Ling. However, Xia Ling was small and had a fast reaction. Coupled with the driver’s deliberate protection, she avoided the two adults easily and hid behind the driver.

Unfortunately, while she was dodging them, the dried flower bookmark that she had held in her hands accidentally fell and flew outside the elevator door.

“Oh no! My bookmark!” Xia Ling said anxiously and was about to run out of the elevator to fetch it.

Li Bingyu saw that she was coming out. She snorted lightly and used her high heels to step on the bookmark without any care. The fine high-heeled shoe crushed onto the dried flower bookmark, breaking it into pieces. She stepped over the broken pieces of dried flowers and entered the elevator.

“You’re too much!” Xia Ling squatted beside the bookmark distressedly. She picked up the pieces of dried flowers and could not put them together no matter how hard she tried. She glared angrily at Li Bingyu. “You did it deliberately!”

Indeed, Li Bingyu had done it deliberately. She had long found this little girl unpleasant to the eye. Thus, she had stepped fiercely on the bookmark and ground it even though she could have avoided it. Her delicate face revealed an arrogant smile. “Wouldn’t it have been fine if you’d come out of the elevator earlier?”

Beside her, the assistant held open the elevator door and let her staff members enter one after the other.

And Uncle Li? He had long run out after Xia Ling. He didn’t care whether the elevator would be snatched by Li Bingyu, all he cared about was that Xia Ling would remain well.

“Miss, are you alright?” The driver asked anxiously.

Xia Ling ignored him and rushed towards the elevator. “Pay for my flower!”

She was pushed aside by Li Bingyu’s assistant. He scolded. “You ill-bred brat, where have you come from! It’s just a flower isn’t it, go ask for it from your mother!”

Xia Ling was still too young and her body had yet to blossom. With his push, she staggered a few steps back. If not for the driver being there to catch her quickly, she would have fallen onto the ground.

Li Bingyu glared at her indifferently and ordered her assistant. “Close the door.”

The assistant pressed the close button, but Driver Li stuck it open with a step forward. “You can’t go!” His voice was heavy and his eyes were dignified. If they hadn’t pushed Xia Ling, it would have been fine. But now that they had pushed her, then things couldn’t be so easygoing anymore! Who dared to bully the girl Pei Ziheng had adopted?!

Driver Li looked at the people in the elevator. “Do you know who this girl is?!”

“Who cares? Is she a Queen too? Hahaha!” Li Bingyu’s assistant seemed to have heard a joke and started laughing at them. The staff members in the elevator also laughed.

Li Bingyu frowned slightly, feeling as though something was wrong.

She was the Queen and had a recognizable face. Since this man could appear in the main building of Imperial Entertainment, he couldn’t possibly not recognize her. In this case, he still dared to stop her? He was either crazy or had something to rely on! She didn’t want to cause trouble, so she said arrogantly, “It’s just a confused little girl. Since she has gotten off already, I won’t be petty about it. Ah Cheng, close the door, I’m rushing.”

She did not want to listen to the identity of the little girl. If she was really a big person, then it would be difficult to get off the hook.

However, Xia Ling was unrelenting. She shouted, “Pay me for my bookmark!”

She learned from the driver and stopped the elevator door with her hands. The door closed on her hands and she yelped and teared in pain.

“Miss!” The driver was shocked and quickly hugged her away.

On the other hand, the elevator door automatically opened again after being blocked by Xia Ling. Li Bingyu was furious. Why was this girl so troublesome?! “Go!” She scorned her assistant.

“Pay me for my bookmark!” Xia Ling cried, not knowing whether it was out of pain or heartache over the damaged bookmark.

Li Bingyu and her team ignored her and pressed the elevator. However, the elevator did not respond this time. “Is it spoilt?” The assistant pressed a few more times and got violent. “What bad luck!”

“It must be spoilt by that little girl,” a staff member said.

“What a bearer of bad luck.” The assistant pointed at her nose and scolded her. “How much is your bookmark even worth? Even your whole family’s assets won’t be able to pay for damaging the elevator!”

Xia Ling was still crying. She held onto the broken bookmark and looked extremely pitiful.

That bookmark was made with great effort by her sister, but it was broken just like that. Her sister must be really upset, right? At this thought, Xia Ling cried even harder and sat on the ground shedding pitiful tears.

Li Bingyu saw that the elevator could not be used and was too lazy to deal with this little girl. She brought her people along with her and walked towards an elevator not far away. Suddenly, she stopped in her tracks.
