Shane could hardly believe that it was feasible for a common lesser demon to become the king of an entire kingdom.

Seeing this, Shane just shook his head, hoping that the rewards they would receive were everything but ordinary!

He did not spend a couple of hundred thousand gold coins on manufacturing new mana-sphere crossbows, food, seedlings, the acid rain protection mixture, and building an entire wall with hundreds of runes engraved in it, for nothing!

Remaining calm, he tried to listen to the king without batting an eye, and let Ilya lead the conversation.

Shane remained silent for most of the time and didn’t open his mouth except for his short introduction. This was more than enough and he believed that too many people reporting the same situation, with slightly different details might lead to wrong information.

As such, Princess Ilya was the best choice, even more so because she was unfazed by the common lesser demon, who was in fact a king.

She remained calm and polite.

In the end, the lesser demon king told them that it was difficult to pay them back if they didn’t accept the common currency.

This was something they had already expected, and it was only when the demon king, who was overjoyed to have great supporters like Shane and Ilya, said that they were allowed to take one thing from the nation’s treasury that Shane smiled lightly.

Apparently, it didn’t matter what they would take as long as it was only one item.

Shane was not sure what to expect from the Karn kingdom’s treasury, but he believed that everything valuable must have been stored there.

When Shane had seen this, he sincerely hoped that the treasury would be worth the efforts he had put into saving the kingdom.

Other than that, he was looking forward to the reward for completing the fluare tower dungeon’s third floor task.

Their score should be extremely high because they had protected the Karn kingdom by getting rid of the issues it had been trying to tackle for ages.

This was different than annihilating the other kingdoms or doing something similar, but it had the same, if not a higher effect!

When they entered the kingdom’s treasury after passing several levels of protection mechanisms, Shane couldn’t help but stare at the large hall for quite some time.

There was not a single piece of gold, but the currency used by the three kingdoms, which was in fact similar to commonly found banknotes, could be found in abundance.

They were useless for Shane, and not something he paid attention to.

His main focus was somewhere else, trained on the row of cabinets that were lined across the wall that was opposite them.

Shane could only see a total of 30 items inside the cabinets when he stood in front of them.

The majority of them were weapons, forged at an extremely high level that was at par, if not better than the Sword of Blood, Mydra, he had!

As such, Shane couldn’t help but feel that it might have been a good idea to spend a fortune on the Karn Kingdom.

Other than weapons, there were all kinds of accessories and skill tomes too.

Because Princess Ilya didn’t use any weapons, she was paying more attention to the accessories and skill tomes that had a much better use for her.

They were more valuable than everything she had seen inside the Primordial Shops, and only the system shop had items comparable to the ones in front of her.

This indicated that the skill tomes were of a high quality, making it impossible to simply purchase them without the system’s permission, while the other goods would have to be [Pseudo-legendary] or at the [Legendary] quality!

Despite all of that, Shane’s focus was on a simple-looking crystal!

This crystal was something he couldn’t purchase from the systems shop!

The description was as simple as its appearance, however, owning it was extremely beneficial for everyone due to its versatile usage!

[Limitation crystal] Increases the target’s capabilities to the highest possible degree while staying at the same quality.

This sounded great, but for others, it wouldn’t be as valuable as a [Legendary] quality weapon. 

The limitation crystal might have its restrictions that were hidden and not named in the simple description, but Shane knew that it was the most valuable item inside the whole treasury!

Because of that, he decided to take the limitation crystal as his reward for rescuing the Karn kingdom from the Ara race’s grasp.

The King didn’t say anything when Shane had made his choice, and he could only see a faint smile on the lesser demon’s face.

Apparently, he was glad that Shane hadn’t taken anything valuable from his point of view, which told Shane that the King was unaware of his own treasury’s value.

He could barely suppress a faint smile as he thought,

‘Had they known that I could turn common legendary weapons into the most powerful one, or advance my mana purification manual to a higher percentage with the limitation crystal, they would have never given it to me!’

Shane could barely suppress a smile as he received the limitation crystal. He immediately stored it away without giving the king time to reconsider his decision.

As such, his choice had been completed, and Shane could only look at Ilya, who was still pondering about what she should choose.

It was her decision and Shane didn’t intervene. Instead, he thought about the things he could do with the limitation crystal. 

On one hand, he could wait for a [Legendary] weapon, but on the other hand, he could simply enhance his mana purification manual to [85%] if not [90%]! 

It was impossible for the limitation crystal to increase the quality of items at the [Mythic] quality and above, which involved both manuals and items!

This also meant that Shane couldn’t simply improve a mana purification manual of around [95%] to [100%].

These were the restrictions the limitation crystal had, but they were not enough to make Shane feel suffocated, let alone disappointed.

By increasing his mana purification manual, he could save time completing a total of two system missions.

However, by improving a [legendary] quality weapon to enhance its capabilities that were equivalent to a [Pseudo-Mythic] quality weapon, his combat prowess would skyrocket. 

Consequently, it would allow him to complete system missions with fewer issues!

He might as well be able to rush through the fluare tower dungeon, reap even more benefits than he was currently doing.

For that, Shane would only need a suitable legendary weapon! He could purchase one with gold coins, or even supreme tickets if necessary, but he was still hoping to receive something special as a reward for completing the third floor task with a high completion rate.

The limitation crystal wouldn’t vanish and could be used at any time!

There were still a few days left before their task would be completed.

Nevertheless, everything necessary was already being processed right now, and there was not much they could do.

Princess Ilya had told Shane that she would try to instruct the King, higher authorities and city lords to lead the entire kingdom into a prosperous era.

This was the last task they had to do, and Shane could simply focus on cultivating with the mana purification manual with a mana purity limit at [80%] during the next few days.
