“Okay then, hurry up or I’ll catch up with you,” Dean said with a little chuckle as he watched Bryana get out of bed and walk to the bathroom through the walk-in closet without wearing anything.

Bryana turned to look at Dean with a look of horror.” if you catch up, I’m sure we’ll be showering in two hours!”

“Of course not. I’ll probably just give you a quick bath to finish. I’m not as crazy as I used to be because I know your belly is huge. Even now you look cute… Like….” Dean kept chuckling.

“I’m like a penguin,” Bryana said with a laugh and tried to introspect. “When I give birth, I’ll be slim again!”

“Hurry up, I’ll just wait here!” Dean exclaimed as he lay down on the bed and closed his eyes staring at the ceiling, while Bryana immediately went to the bathroom.

In her room, Monica had just woken up and immediately cleaned up because she will be going to the hospital. Raymond, Calvin, and Sofia are still sleeping in the same bed. She sat in the chair in front of the dressing table with a neat appearance. The woman wore a black knee-length dress combined with a white top and let her hair loose, polishing her face with light make-up.

The sound of the phone ringing sounded from the table near the bed. Monica got up from the chair and walked over to the phone that turned out to be Raymond’s. She immediately answered the call which turned out to be from Brandon, her husband’s trusted bodyguard. “Hello, Brandon. What’s up?”

“Excuse me, ma’am. Is Mr. Raymond here? I would like to talk with him.”

Monica glanced at Raymond who was writhing and slowly opened his eyes. She immediately gave the phone to her husband. “There’s a call from Brandon.”

“What is wrong with him?” Raymond asked as he grabbed the phone and immediately put it to his ear. “Hello, Brandon. What’s up?”

“Sir, a murder victim’s body has been found in a basement in an old building in Bristol,” Brandon said over the phone, sounding serious.

“The discovery of the corpse? Then, what does that have to do with me?” Raymond asked with a frown, while Monica sat on the edge of the bed and watched him.

“That’s Kenzie’s corpse.”

“What? Kenzie??” Suddenly Raymond rolled his eyes.

Monica who was beside him was surprised and asked, “what happened to Kenzie?”

“He’s dead,” Raymond replied then returned his focus to the phone. “Brandon, hasn’t he left England? Why is he still in Bristol?”

“He probably won’t go, sir. He just tricked us and… I don’t know who killed him. there is no trace of evidence of the perpetrator at all,” Brandon explained.

“DAMN IT!” Raymond began to growl and clenched his fists, pounding the bed with his ragged breath and sharp gaze.

“Be patient,” said Monica, rubbing Raymond’s shoulder. “There are kids here.”

“Kenzie’s dead, that means we’ve lost a clue as to who’s behind everything that happened to dad,” Raymond said nervously.

“There’s got to be a way out, there’s a clue. Don’t just give up,” said Monica encouragingly.

Raymond nodded and returned his focus to the phone. “Brandon..show me the place and ask the police to investigate Kenzie’s body.”

“Okay, sir. I’ll turn off the phone first.”

“Hmm.”

The phone line was disconnected. Raymond exhaled roughly and glanced at Monica who was always trying to strengthen him. He leaned his head on his wife’s shoulder.

“I’m tired, why is there always someone disturbing the peace of our family? I’m tired of being filled with fear, curiosity, and alertness. I want to stop feeling that way,” Raymond said sadly. he was fed up with his father’s enemies strewn all over.

“Everything will end. I’m sure everything will end with victory in your hands. You are not alone, some bodyguards are loyal to help you, there is Dean who will also help you. and I, I will always be behind you to make you always wake up from your tiredness, like now,” Monica coaxed while rubbing Raymond’s downy jaw.

Raymon fell silent remembering about Gustave. ‘Could it be that Gustave was the culprit of all this? What is the purpose? didn’t he just want to harm Calvin and Bryana? Why did he attack dad? There’s no way I can tell Dean all of this, or all of the past about Clarissa will come to light..’ he said in his heart.
