Second Marriage: My Strongest Bodyguard Chapter 96 – Bryana’s Panic

“Honey, hello … Honey, are you okay?” Bryana began to panic when the last time she heard Dean’s voice seemed to be screaming and she heard the phone that was holding Dean seemed to have dropped.

After several calls but no answer, Bryana finally disconnected the phone. She paused limply on the bed by leaning her body against the pile of pillows.

“My God, what happened to my husband?” Bryana began to tremble, her breathing began to unstable, but the dizziness and nausea she had felt since earlier suddenly disappeared because she was too anxious.

“I have to call Monica,” Bryana muttered when she remembered that Dean had been trapped with Monica in the elevator. She immediately contacted her trusted girl and immediately got an answer.

“Hello, Monica. Is Dean with you?” Bryana asked when she connected with Monica.

“Yes, he’s with me, but ….” Monica answered from the phone sounding like she was panicking. Bryana also heard the sound of ambulance sirens so loud. Her feeling was getting more and more chaotic, making her body tremble even more and her hands were already sweating cold.

“What happened, Monica?” Bryana asked.

“Dean fell from the stairs. I’m escorting him to the hospital. Now we’re in the ambulance.”

Bryana panicked even more. “Fell from the stairs, How can? Oh my God. Quickly send the address of the hospital you are going to. I’ll be there!”

“Yes, I will immediately share the address of the hospital.”

Bryana immediately disconnected the telephone. She got out of bed and immediately grabbed the small bag that she always carried. then walked out of the room at a brisk pace.

“Susan!” called Bryana as she descended the stairs.

Susan, who was in the kitchen, rushed over to Bryana. She walked briskly towards the living room where her employer had arrived on the ground floor and approached her with hasty steps as well.

“What is it, Ma’am?” asked Susan.

“If the kids are looking for me, tell them that I’m going to the office to catch up with their Daddy,” Bryana exclaimed. She purposely didn’t tell the kids about what happened to Dean because she didn’t want them to worry.

“Yes, ma’am,” replied Susan with a nod.

Bryana immediately continued walking toward the house in a hurry. She asked the driver and a bodyguard to escorted her to the hospital address that Monica had sent her.

During the trip, Bryana fell silent with an anxious, scared, and worried heart. she was so uneasy that she had tears in her eyes without realizing it. The image of Dean always giving her attention, gentle attitude, handsome face, always loving and patient even though she was often spoiled and irritable, seemed to continue to wander in her mind. even the attention is given by her husband this morning still made an impression on her.

‘Oh my God, I begged you to save my husband. I hope he is not badly injured, I just feel happy with him, I just felt the beauty of being loved by a man as sincere as himself,’ Bryana thought in sobs as she stared at the atmosphere of the roadside of Jakarta from the windshield of a car.

The ambulance carrying Dean arrived at a hospital in South Jakarta. He was immediately taken to the emergency room by several nurses and Monica.

Arriving in front of the ER, Monica stopped and let the nurses take Dean into the ER. She sat in the waiting chair and paused with mixed feelings. Her body felt trembling when she realized that her hand was also covered with blood from Dean’s head which she had been holding. Sometimes she glanced at the main door of the hospital.

until a few moments sitting in silence feeling anxious, Monica saw Bryana coming from the direction of the hospital corridor. The boss’s wife walked hastily over to her.

“Bryana.” Monica rose and greeted Bryana.

“Monica, how is Dean?” Bryana asked anxiously. She saw the dried blood spot on Monica’s hand, then grabbed it. “Does he look really bad? Is this his blood?”

Monica nodded and looked at Bryana with pity. “He has a lot of blood. But I hope the doctor can help him,” she replied.

Bryana let out a rough breath, her legs felt weak as if she could not support her body. She immediately sat in a chair with Monica who tried to calm her down.

“He will be fine. He’s a strong man, you know that, right?” Monica tries to convince Bryana.

Bryana just nodded and bowed languidly imagining what would happen. Slowly the tears spilled again and she embraced Monica, using Monica’s shoulder as a support for her fist.

“Monica, I’m so afraid something bad happened to him,” Bryana said in sobs.

“I know, but let’s just pray that the wound is not too bad and he can recover, be back with you as usual,” Monica replied as she rubbed Bryana’s back. She tried to calm down even though she was afraid. the image when she saw Dean lying with his head covered in blood, made her feel that Dean’s wound was serious.

Bryana took her hug to Monica, then wiped her tears with the palm of her hand. She glanced at the emergency room door, which was still closed but slowly opening.

A middle-aged man who is the doctor who treats Dean comes out of the emergency room. Bryana immediately got up from the chair and walked over to the doctor.

“Doctor, how is my husband?” Bryana asked

“His condition is quite severe. There is a blood clot in his head. He must be operated on immediately,” explained the doctor with a huff.

Bryana grew increasingly uneasy. Hearing the words “Severe” and “Operation” made her even more terrified but she had the belief that her husband was a strong man who promised to be always with her. 

“Doctor, please do the operation. Save my husband,” Bryana exclaimed sadly.

“Very well, then We will prepare the operation for your husband. now you come to my room to sign the agreement for this operation, ” explained the doctor who was wearing a white medical coat.

“Okay, Doctor,” Bryana replied and then turned to look at Monica who was now standing beside her. “Monica, come with me,” she exclaimed.

Monica nods. The doctor immediately walked into his room, followed by Bryana and Monica. They walked down the hospital corridor whose wall color was dominated by yellowish-white and.

While waiting for Dean to be operated on, Bryana and Monica took the time to visit Dean who was still lying weakly on the bed to be precise in the emergency room. the man looks so vulnerable with the many medical types of equipment attached to his body, making his wife burst into tears seeing him.

‘Honey, don’t give up. You have to hold on for me, for the kids, and our next kid,’ Bryana thought in her sobs as she looked at Dean. She remembered that her husband was very enthusiastic about taking her to the doctor to check whether she was pregnant or not.

“Has Mrs. Lily been informed about this incident?” asked Monica.

“Not yet, I’ll tell her later,” Bryana exclaimed, still staring at Dean. “What happened exactly? Why did he fall? I’m sure he wouldn’t be careless when he got down the stairs.”

“I don’t know for sure but I saw someone running up the stairs when I saw Dean already lying on the ground floor. People look suspicious because he wears black clothes and hats. I think she pushed Dean..” Monica explained as she remembered.
