Chapter 1435 – Lure

He breathed in deeply to calm himself down before he raised his head and looked opposite him. There was no point in pondering over this now. He had to confirm how he was going to enter the Desolate Area. 

Eye of Eternal Night lightly answered, “The crown of the Darkness Ruler.” His voice was calm and monotonous, revealing no emotion. Qin Yu frowned and a look of doubt and anger crossed his eyes. 

“Are you referring to…the rumored Darkness Ruler in the World of Darkness?” 

Eye of Eternal Night nodded in confirmation, “That’s right. The crown that he wears is a treasure of the darkness. Once you have it, your strength will be intensified and this would be enough to ensure that your identity will not be seen through by a King realm cultivator.” 

Qin Yu raised his hand to rub his forehead. He could not help laughing bitterly to himself. Even if what Eye of Eternal Night said was true – that the crown would be effective – how was he going to get it? 

Darkness Ruler…the name alone was enough to allow him to infer the entire situation. Furthermore, if the World of Darkness did not have the power to protect itself, why would the Rulers of the Vast Brightness World keep its existence a secret till now? 

Obviously, the Rulers did not have a good sense of the actions and intentions from the West Desolate. There must have been some deals and compromises here. 

Regardless of whichever it was, the two parties needed to be approximately the same level in order for a consensus to be reached. 

Qin Yu placed his hands down and sighed deeply. He continued, “What rank is the Darkness Ruler?” 

Eye of Eternal Night replied, “Realm of a True Saint.” 

Qin Yu frowned, “Let me change my question. How strong is he in the World of Darkness?” 

Eye of Eternal paused for a while before he said, “Comparable to a Ruler.” 

As he expected! 

Qin Yu glared at Eye of Eternal Night. Is this guy trying to harm me purposely because of jealousy and hate? Comparable to a Ruler…just with this, there was no further room for discussion. It was suicidal to steal his crown! 

Qin Yu was fuming and his voice deepened as he asked, “Do you think I can succeed?” 

Eye of Eternal Night lazily answered, “Since I suggested it, there is a possibility of success.” He glanced at Qin Yu and continued, “It is better than sending you straight to your death.” 

Bastard! 

Qin Yu felt that he was reading his thoughts again. He gritted his teeth and demanded, “Tell me more!” 

Eye of Eternal Night explained, “Actually, it is very simple. The Darkness Ruler is comparable to a Ruler in the World of Darkness but once he is out of it, his strength is only comparable to a True Saint.” 

Qin Yu frowned, “Do you have a way to lure him out?” 

Eye of Eternal Night raised his hands and pointed to the thick blanket of darkness, “Kill them. I will do a cover up and lure the Darkness Ruler here. You can take action then.” 

A look of absurdity crossed Qin Yu’s face and he asked incredulously, “You want me to kill him?” 

Eye of Eternal Night nonchalantly replied, “You have a very strong aura hidden in you.” 

He must be referring to the sword from the East Sea. 

Qin Yu frowned, and anger rose in his heart. How could Eye of Eternal Night sense so many things on him? 

Although it was a good technique to scare people off, he could not do a sneak attack on others if all his hidden cards were already revealed. 

Buzz – 

There was a soft hum of a sword in his mind. In a direct way, the sword was telling him that he was too weak. He could not even hide the aura of the sword, why blame the sword? 

Qin Yu felt incredibly wronged! 

His expression turned darker. He could not live like this. Was he the master or was the sword the master? 

However, he could only hold this in for now. He would find a chance to correct the sword in the future. 

Calming himself down, Qin Yu began to think deeply about the suggestion given by Eye of Eternal Night. Firstly, he had to kill the five Darkness True Saints. This was what Qin Yu wanted to do and from this angle, the two of them would be collaborating together to kill the Darkness Ruler. He would not need to beg Eye of Eternal Night for help. Of course, this was a small issue. The real question was what was the possibility of winning against the Darkness Ruler? What if Eye of Eternal Night was wrong in his judgement? What if he ended up digging his own grave by luring the Darkness Ruler here?

Qin Yu asked in a deep voice, “This matter is very important. I have to ask if you can confirm what you have just said.” 

“Of course I can.” 

“Will you help me?” 

The question was asked and a strange look appeared on Eye of Eternal Night’s face. “Am I supposed to watch you die by not helping you?” 

He was being held in disdain again! 

This guy truly was unhappy and unwilling. 

Qin Yu could not be bothered to argue with him. He needed Eye of Eternal Night’s help later and he could teach him a lesson after the matter was done.

Your master does not have a big heart but do I need to have one? Sooner or later, I will teach you the truth. 

He smirked coldly at himself. He wiped the emotions off his face and said, “Then, let’s discuss what we should do next.”

A thick blanket of darkness covered the sky like a veil, isolating it from all sight and perception. Not even Darkness True Saints were able to tell what was inside. 

Although Eye of Eternal Night’s help to kill Qin Yu virtually guaranteed success for them, things were proceeding really slowly. 

A lot of time had passed by but there was only stillness from the darkness. The five Darkness True Saints frowned at how tough Qin Yu was. 

Right as uneasiness settled in their hearts and they wanted to inquire about the situation, Eye of Eternal Night’s consciousness drifted into their minds. 

“Qin Yu has been killed. Two people should come in and clean up.” As he said this, a pathway that led into the thick darkness opened. 

The five Darkness True Saints jumped for joy. They exchanged looks and the two people who were chosen bowed before they flew into the darkness. 

From afar, the two Saints observed a figure appear before them. It was Qin Yu, currently being suppressed by the darkness. 

His face was pale and he stood still. The aura around him was thin and dispersed and he was like a wilting corpse. 

A realization formed in the two Darkness True Saints’ minds at the same time. No wonder Eye of Eternal Night took so long to kill Qin Yu, he was preserving Qin Yu’s physical body. 

This was understandable. With how strong Qin Yu was, his body could be refined to become a powerful darkness puppet once he was brought back to the World of Darkness. 

Doing this would also grant the two Saints a lot of recognition in the West Desolate. 

As these thoughts crossed their minds, the two Darkness True Saints drew closer. Right at that moment, Qin Yu’s eyes suddenly opened. His eyes were cold and there was a look of mockery in them. 

Oh no! 

Their hearts jumped in fright but the two Darkness True Saints reacted quickly. Vigorous forces exploded from their bodies but they suddenly stiffened as the Darkness Great Dao in their bodies came to a standstill. 

Although this lasted only a split second, it was enough for Qin Yu to attack forcefully and kill the two Saints. 

Bam bam! 

Two clear, distinct sounds reverberated through the air as a hole appeared in the forehead of each of the Saints. Red and white gunk seeped out from the holes and the life in their eyes disappeared. 

Killing Saints seemed complicated, but sometimes, it could be done in a very simple way. 

In the end, it all boiled down to strength. It would be incredibly difficult for the weak to kill a Saint, but if one was strong enough, one would only need an opportunity and a single killing strike. 

Of course, Qin Yu had to thank Eye of Eternal Night for the help he gave. He would not have gotten off so easily if he had operated by himself. 

There was anger and fear in the depths of the two Darkness True Saints’ eyes. Evidently, they never expected that things would become like this.

Qin Yu’s eyelids twitched. He knew that this was the move of the mysterious being hidden deep within time and space. He was taking the sacrifices. 

This technique was really amazing and Qin Yu did not notice the slightest flaw despite witnessing the entire process first hand. 

However, Qin Yu suddenly frowned. He felt that something was off…he quickly regained his senses and his expression darkened. He felt as if he had been taken advantage of. 

He had agreed to sacrifice only one True Saint, but two True Saints were taken away. 

If this was the past, Qin Yu would not care about how these dead bodies were treated. 

But now was different. He had the Blood Jade Coffin and the Ghost Path technique from Close Saint. The souls of True Saints were rare treasures that could enhance his strength.

Sure enough, there was a hidden clause in the contract that he had not picked up on. Stone Pagoda had not noticed it either, what a useless fool.

Qin Yu could mildly rest assured, “Are you sure?” 

Stone Pagoda confirmed, “Yes.” 

Thank goodness. If there was anything else, Qin Yu was not sure if he would be able to take it. 

Before Qin Yu could think about it further, Eye of Eternal Night suddenly spoke, “Mysterious existence within time and space?” His voice was full of jealousy and it became obvious that he knew about this. 

“Qin Yu, I have to remind you that it is best for you to avoid them. These mysterious beings possess a lot of power and many strange techniques. But the majority of them are crazy and being in touch with them will only bring you trouble.”

This could be considered a kind reminder but Qin Yu sighed deeply and waved his hand dismissively, “Don’t worry, I know what I am doing. There are another three Saints outside; let’s continue.” 

Qin Yu did not reply to him directly and Eye of Eternal Night frowned. After all, he was Master’s chosen man and he could sense that Master was protecting Qin Yu. Compared to Master, these strange, powerful beings were nothing. 

The third Saint received the instructions from Eye of Eternal Night to enter the darkness and help the two Saints. 

What was going on? Wasn’t Qin Yu dead already? Why weren’t two Saints enough to clean up the scene? Just as suspicions clouded the Saint’s mind, his consciousness froze and eternal darkness fell upon his eyes in the next instant.
