Chapter 82: Someone Is Here

Gu Jin woke up and opened his eyes. Inside the car was pitch-black. He was scared out of his wits!

His whole body quivered. He was stunned for a long time before he remembered what had happened.

The thought made his heart skip a beat.

“Could something have happened to them? It’s already dark outside. Why aren’t they back yet?”

Gu Jin’s voice woke Zhao Ying. She was still in a daze. Before she even opened her eyes, she asked drowsily, “Aren’t they back yet? Li Ran had a gun. There shouldn’t be any problem.”

However, all Gu Jin could do was shrug. It was already dark out and he felt cold. He rubbed his eyes and shook his head. Then, he took a deep breath.

Suddenly, an unfamiliar voice could be heard

“Brothers, there’s a car here! It looks quite new! The wheels do not look worn out at all.”

Gu Jin’s heart sank. He dared not make a sound.

Zhao Ying heard the voice too. She did not know what to do. The both of them could only stay silent and look at each other.

“A car? Why is this car entangled by the willow tree?”

As the person spoke, a blinding light went through the glass window of the car. Gu Jin reflexively turned his head and closed his eyes.

At the same time, he realized that the car was covered by something.

The people outside spoke for a long time. One of them became impatient and cursed, “F*ck, who did this? The vines are bound so tightly. Were they trying to hide this car? It’s ours now!”

“We have to get rid of it. Maybe we should come back with some tools. If we successfully snag this car, our status will instantly rise! We won’t be bullied anymore!”

Then, a burst of laughter could be heard. The atmosphere was quite lively.

People were trying to tear the vines off from the front and back. However, it was not an easy task. They tried for a long time but barely did any damage.

One of them took out a lighter from his pocket. He lit up the willow tree. The fire spread very quickly. Gu Jin felt like he was being boiled alive.

Suddenly, a scream could be heard. The person with the lighter was captured by the vines. More vines began to cover his body and the man’s scream began to slowly fade away.

In less than half a minute, the man was reduced to bones. It seemed as if the willow tree was satisfied with its meal. The bones fell to the ground and the willow tree’s vines began stretching out in all directions.

However, the vines did not attack anyone else. It merely merged back with the willow tree. If it was not for the human skull on the ground, nobody would believe what had happened!

After all, how could a tree move on its own?!

The people outside composed themselves. One of them raised his head and looked at the car. His eyes widened!

“Big Brother! There are people in the car! The tree is being controlled by them! They must have special abilities!”

Everything made sense now. Their fear turned into anger and it was all directed at Gu Jin.

“I was wondering why it was so strange, but it was just you people meddling. You guys did us dirty with us! I think you’re sick of living!”

The man rushed towards the car and roared at Gu Jin!

He was scared out of his wits by this brat and would definitely take his revenge!

An axe appeared out of thin air. The man grabbed it and swung the axe at the windshield!

The sound of the collision alarmed Gu Jin. He was petrified.
