Chapter 55: Cui Chong’s Tricks

Outside the safety base, a car drove off.

Cui Chong stretched his body in the car and looked at the safety base. Then, he raised his neck and gulped down half a bottle of water before letting out a hearty laugh.

The man who was driving the car got more and more enthusiastic as he spoke. He stepped on the accelerator and the speed of the car immediately increased.

A woman sitting in the front passenger seat. She glared at the man impatiently and scolded, “You only know how to talk. Shut up and drive! We’ll be killed by your driving skills before the zombies!”

The man got angry but he tried to hide it.

Cui Chong heard their bickering and chuckled.

“When someone falls in love, it shows. You know, that woman is very charming. If not, I wouldn’t have wasted my time on her.”

Upon hearing what Cui Chong said, the man excitedly asked, “Brother Cui, do you still like her? Are you going to be the hero who saves the damsel in distress?”

“She’s quite lucky. I believe she won’t die so easily,” said Cui Chong as he narrowed his eyes.

“What? Does she have some kind of superpower?”

“I’m not sure, but it’s possible. Otherwise, I have no explanation for what happened last time.”

“You’ve taken many women by force. Why don’t you just do the same with her?” said the woman in the front passenger seat. She rested her chin on her hand while looking at the zombies outside.

Cui Chong replied with a smile, “You don’t understand, do you? That woman is incredibly stubborn. We have to keep our eyes on her.”

“Tsk, if we keep this up, they’ll find us. It’s not worth it.”

The woman was disgusted with Cui Chong’s behavior. She had followed Cui Chong for many years, but this was the first time that he had stooped so low.

Cui Chong thought that it was extremely funny and laughed out loud.

“Stop laughing. What’s so funny?”

Yang Yang stepped on the accelerator angrily and then on the brakes. It shook the other passengers in the car back and forth.

It made Cui Cong dizzy and he finally stopped laughing.

Cui Chong laid down in the back seat. He closed his eyes to rest.

‘How else would she have survived the previous situation?’

Meanwhile, Li Ran still insisted on saving everyone. The young man wanted to stop her but he was in a dilemma.

‘Should I just leave?
