Empress with No Virtue- Chapter 74 Part 2

Now it is summer, the lotus flowers at Tai Ye Lake were blossoming well. Ye Zhen Zhen wanted to view the flowers, so Ji Wu Jiu went with her to Bi Xin Pavilion. The lake’s surface was peaceful and  the warm wind carried the scent of the lotus flowers gently towards them, like a beautiful lady’s hand caressing one’s face.

Ye Zhen Zhen came out from the pavilion, and seeing the blooming flowers, she wanted to be nearer to them. Ji Wu Jiu also felt that to be intimate with her in the midst of flowers would be interesting, so he ordered a boat over.

After giving his orders, not far from them they saw someone walking towards them, making a pathway out of the flowers. Ji Wu Jiu thought that his eyes has some problem, after concentrating it really was someone walking on the flower. That person was a lady, wearing a pastel gown, face still unclear. Under her feet were lots of lotus flower, assorted colours all around, slowly drifting her towards them.

Ye Zhen Zhen was in a daze, her mouth subconsciously dropping. Ji Wu Jiu found her funny, and helped her to lift her jaws up.

That person was slowly approaching them. Ye Zhen Zhen finally saw the person’s face clearly, she is the princess sent from Tu Lu Fan to enter the palace, also known as Hua Zhao Yi in the palace. This person has high eyebrows and deep eyes, high nose, mouth although slightly bigger than the central plain ladies but her lips were very full. What was most precious was her white and clear skin.

All in all it was a beautiful lady, as well as someone with romance in their bones

When the flowers were close enough, Ji Wu Jiu finally found out the trick behind it. There was a floating mechanism under her feet, that was half submerged in the water, with the help of the flowers covering it, and that the Tai Ye Lake is a moving water, with the right current it will move according to the direction, without any help.

So it was like that, how interesting.

Hua Zhao Yi stepped down from the mechanism, and slowly headed towards Ji Wu Jiu and Ye Zhen Zhen to perform her greetings, using her weak Chinese to say “Greetings to your majesty, and empress”

Ji Wu Jiu said” You may rise, raise up your head”

Hua Zhao Yi lifted her head, and looked at Ji Wu Jiu with her big pair of eyes.

Men, although their hearts can be filled, but their eyes will still like to see attractive things. The lady infront of him was pretty and elegant, so Ji Wu Jiu took a few glances, and only asked after “Who are you?”

“Replying to your majesty, I am Hua Zhao Yi.” Although her pronunciation wasn’t too good, but here etiquette was perform properly.

Ji Wu Jiu nodded, “Not bad”

Hua Zhao Yi was not sure what he was referring it too, but since she was still praised, so she said “Thank you for your praises your majesty.”

Then, someone was maneuvering a boat over to the side, Ji Wu Jiu got hyped up, called everyone away and pulled Ye Zhen Zhen towards the boat. Ye Zhen Zhen however, pulled her hands away and said “I don’t want to play anymore” and left.

Ji Wu Jiu followed her and held her hands, and asks “why don’t you want to play anymore? Did you want to try the mechanism instead? She is still here, we can try it”.

Ye Zhen Zhen pushes his hands away, “Who wants to play that. I want to go back already”

Ji Wu Jiu was blurred, and could not understand why her behavior can change so fast. Frowning he asks, “Whats wrong with you?”

“I have a headache” Ye Zhen Zhen answered while looking down.
