Louise couldn’t say anything for a long time. She didn’t even know where to begin. She stared at the small candle shining alone in the dark, the orange flame eating through the white candle.

She spoke the first words, but found it difficult to continue.

She fidgeted with the warm jacket wrapped around her shoulders.

Louise pulled her eyes away from the candle and looked up at Ian carefully.

Louise turned to the candle again.

His words gave Louise the courage to go on.
