“That bird beast clearly likes you. Why don’t you accept him?” Wabei sprawled lazily across the table. He picked up a pebble and tossed it at Gu Mengmeng’s head.

Gu Mengmeng rubbed her head and glared at Wabei. “Are you looking to die? You dare throw rocks at me?”

Wabei grinned and nodded. “Yes, I dare to throw rocks at you.”

Gu Mengmeng held her forehead. This fool Wabei had not yet come to terms with the fact that he was finally not fearful of her anymore. Provoking her was his only way to confirm that he could be near her again. He had become rather obsessed with the word “dare”.

Rolling her eyes at Wabei, she didn’t kick up a fuss over that pebble incident. Anyway, it wasn’t really painful.

“It’s because I know he likes me, that’s why I cannot take advantage of his feelings. Since I cannot reciprocate, I shouldn’t lead him on.” Gu Mengmeng glared at Lea. “Previously, I thought he would never like me, that was why I dared to let him hover around me. Wabei frowned and looked at Elvis and then at Lea. “Tsk, you should have accepted that bird beast, as well as a few more powerful males.”

Gu Mengmeng glared at Wabei with an “are you looking to die” expression. “Have you changed professions to become a pimp now?”

Wabei said disdainfully, “You are the pimp. You pimped the entire tribe.”

Gu Mengmeng shot Wabei a look, gesturing for him to look at Elvis’ expression.

Wabei glanced at Elvis. “I stayed by Snake’s side for 800 years. Do you think I will be afraid of a newbie Wolf King?”

Mmm, he was not talking nonsense. Wabei was a snake and Snake was the Snake King. So to Wabei, not only was Snake able to suppress him with their vast difference in powers, he was also an indomitable authority figure within the snake race, high above him in status and rank. Having been thrashed by Snake for 800 years without cowering, Wabei would definitely not be frightened of Elvis.

But weren’t these two useless bums also there at the time? Why did they leave the task of killing to you?
