Chapter 656: Adoration

Mu Qing was drowsy and his hair was unkempt. His cartoon PJ had creases on it. He had apparently just gotten up from bed.

Jing Yiran apparently had no idea that Mu Qing’s PJ was bought because of Zhao Anan, so that they could have a couple PJ together. When he saw him wearing such childish nightwear, he could not but look down at him for his taste in clothes.

And when he saw his drowsy look of drowsiness, Jing Yiran got even more annoyed.

“Can you hold the blade steadily? Lu has a bullet in her shoulder. It is not a small surgery! Can you do it properly or not? Get someone else if you can’t!”

Hearing the words, Mu Qing walked away before he even put on the asepsis take. “Alright then, get someone else. Or you can just leave it inside. I am not serving you anymore. And don’t make me take out the bullet from your head, too. I can’t even hold the blade steadily. What if I ruin your head?”

Mu Qing got startled by the huge contrasting behavior of Jing Yiran.

What happened? Why was Jing Yiran being so humble today and he even apologized to him? Would the sun rise from the west tomorrow morning?

Jing Yiran had never spoken in such a polite way ever. He was a bad-tempered person. When he said that he was not going to remove the bullet for him, Jing Yiran would have punched him, under normal circumstances.

Mu Qing had been punched by Jing Yiran numerous times!

But Jing Yiran, who had been behaving like a demon a second ago, was now a gentle sheep. Mu Qing was taken aback.

But since he had apologised, Mu Qing could not continue to hold a grudge.

He threw a strange look at Lu and patted her unwounded shoulder with a smile. He then asked sincerely. “How did you do it?”

Lu was confused. “What?”

Was he asking about how did she manage to kill Tang Shunian? How did Mu Qing know about this?

“How did you tame a lion and turn him into a dog? Teach me as well, please!” Maybe he could adopt the same method to tame Zhao Anan.

Lu got even more confused. She looked around and blinked. “Where are the lion and the dog?”

Mu Qing became speechless. Lu was still so difficult to talk to.

Seeing her dumb expressions, Mu Qing truly wondered how she managed to get Jing Yiran to become her man.

But Jing Yiran had understood what Mu Qing meant. He glared at Mu Qing and asked in a very unfriendly tone. “Doctor Mu, are you so unethical as to ask the private matters of your patient?”

Knowing that he was not in the position to give a proper answer, Mu Qing said with a bright smile, “I am just being friendly. Let’s go to the operation room and take out the bullet. I need to go back and sleep before doing more operations tomorrow!”

Jing Yichen, Shangguan Ning and Jing Rui soon arrived home.

Their home had been thoroughly cleaned and the stained carpet had been replaced by a new one. The three men whom Lu had killed were gone as well.

But Jing Yichen did not go to that bedroom. Instead, they changed to another bedroom that was slightly smaller than the major bedroom. This one would make Ning feel comfortable.

Shangguan Ning actually did not care that the master bedroom had been the battlefield between Lu and Tang Shunian. She was no longer a weak woman. She was barely affected by these small things and could confront blood in a poised manner.

Jing Rui had already fallen asleep on the way home. The nanny had no idea what had happened when she was asleep. Lu had drugged her and she remained in a deep slumber all throughout.

Tang Shunian’s aim had not been her but Shangguan Ning, so it was safe for her to stay at home. Lu had been here after all, and she could keep the nanny protected, otherwise Shangguan Ning would not have dared to ask the nanny to stay back.

Jing Rui had fallen asleep, but Shangguan Ning was not at all sleepy.

She put Jing Rui in the baby room and went to the study.

Jing Yichen was dealing with what had happened today. Tang Shunian died at the hospital and many others were either dead or injured. So he needed to arrange many forces to smoothen out the situation.

When he saw Shangguan Ning entering the room, he hung up the phone. He walked up to her and asked in a gentle tone. “Still awake?”

Leaning against Jing Yichen’s shoulders, Shangguan Ning said in a soft voice, “I want to stay with you.”

She adored him and depended on him so much that Jing Yichen felt his heart melt.

He took her hand and led her to the table. He sat down and held her in his arms. He said guiltily, “Did I startle you tonight?”

Shangguan Ning nodded and then shook her head instantly.

She might feel a bit uneasy, because it had been a very intensive night. Although she and Jing Rui had been in the tank-like car which Jing Zhongxiu had given her, she had still been worried.

It was because Jing Yichen had been in B City and didn’t return for a while.

When he was not by her side, she felt her heart feeling empty.

But then Jing Yichen appeared in front of her with a helicopter within half an hour and then took her and Jing Rui to Jing Yiran’s villa.

She could have gone home with Jing Rui but she did not want to be away from Jing Yichen so she went there with him.

You would never know how much someone meant to you unless you experienced something monumental together. Shangguan Ning had not expected that she could be a clingy woman until now. She simply did not want to be away from Jing Yichen for even a minute now.

Maybe it was because of her deceased mother that she had been strong and independent since childhood.

Even after Jing Yichen married her, she did not depend on him despite her deep love for him.
