The following morning, Shangguan Ning was sitting in the office of Jingsheng Enterprise and was dealing with the documents accumulated from previous period. Lu, like before, was sitting on the sofa next to her, licking a face-sized lollipop in delight.

He regretted everything and he hated himself so much for having been immature and conceited. He hated himself for being blind so as to let go of such a brilliant woman.

Shangguan Ning was dressed in a black professional suit. The long, slim pants draped over her straight legs and the pair of black flat heel shoes had a sprinkling of gold, making her look capable and elegant.

She was also wearing a ruby necklace, diamond ear studs, white gold wedding ring as well as an inconspicuous watch which was worth tens of millions.

But all of those ornaments were just decorations for her. Even the ruby and the diamonds could not take away the brilliance of her eyes.

Xie Zhuojun had been with many beautiful women, like Shangguan Rouxue, for example.

But he could still get distracted by Shangguan Ning every time. He understood clearly that he was not worthy of her anymore, or maybe, had never been.

Shangguan Ning got a bit displeased seeing Xie Zhuojun’s stare.

“Mr. Xie, I have told you many times that you are not allowed to enter our company as you wish. I am a busy woman. If you are here for that collaboration, I am sorry, but I can’t and will not collaborate with you. I won’t change the decision I made.”

Shangguan Ning sounded poised and distant.

Xie Zhuojun struggled to come out of the agonizing emotions and tried to respond in a seemingly calm way. “I am not here for the collaboration. I just want you to allow Luo Rong back to work. You shouldn’t have fired him. Leave him out of our feud. He is innocent.”
