Chapter 227: Family Jing’s Lives

Ji Bo started a fierce argument regarding the business collaboration, during which time, Ji Jiameng and Ji Ling also intervened. Jing Yichen didn’t show any weakness when he was against all three, but Family Ji got a bit divided due to difference in ideas and started to argue amongst themselves. Ji Bo said that he would resolve the matter after they went back home. The three of them came to a compromise reluctantly and then battled against Jing Yichen.

Even Jing Yichen who was engrossed in the negotiation noticed that something was wrong. He looked at Lan Yu fiercely and then stopped giving her any further attention.

They didn’t achieve a breakthrough that afternoon but atleast broke the ice.

Lu Qing had been following these negotiations for a long time, and he was quite pleased with the level that they reached today. A smile hovered on his usually serious face, because the financial arm of Jingsheng Enterprise had been dead during Jing Zhongxiu’s time and no one had been able to solve the issue. Jing Yichen, however, had managed to find a crack in the stone wall. With this opening, Jingsheng was capable enough to create a big hole and enter.

After the negotiations, Jing Yichen left with Shangguan Ning and his team. There were only four people from Family Ji left in the tea house.

Ji Jiameng and Ji Ling did not get along with each other, but they had the same father so they had a basic mutual understanding among themselves. They had no right to make decisions in the financial business, so they thought that they could collaborate with Jingsheng to fight against Ji Bo.

Seeing them leave with unconcealed excitement, Ji Bo felt furious. But soon he calmed down – if Family Ji could not occupy the entire market, they will collaborate with Jingsheng and he was going to partner with Jing Yichen instead of Ji Jiameng and Ji Ling.

A few seconds later, Ji Bo and his fiancée Lan Yu were the only ones remaining in the teahouse.

He stood up and his strong-built body cast a shadow upon Lan Yu. “You are too anxious. You shouldn’t have been here today. They will notice.”

Lan Yu spoke for the first time since entering the teahouse. She sounded hoarse, like a crow. What she said, gave people chills –”I won’t let them realise it. Today is just the start. Family Jing will die, one after another. No one can stop me! I want nothing except their lives. You will get their business and mine, as long as you can protect me at this moment.”

Ji Bo was silent for a moment. His eyes flickered.

Lan Yu said suddenly, “You like Shangguan Ning?”

Hearing her words, Ji Bo turned his head abruptly. His handsome face looked unusually twisted and he replied coldly, “Don’t ask anything that you aren’t supposed to know about. Her family name is not Jing. Her life is not what you need.”

“Hehe, she seems to be fully devoted to her husband. She doesn’t even look at you.” Lan Yu smiled sinisterly. She was looking increasingly scary.

“But that is okay, because if I take that man’s life, your biggest enemy is gone, and you should thank me for it.”

After Jing Yichen brought Shangguan Ning out of the teahouse, the five of them got in the car.

He didn’t conceal anything in front of everyone and said, “Tiger, go and check upon Ji Bo’s fiancée. I don’t think her real name is Lan Yu.”

“Take Lu with you wherever you go. She is very cautious and doesn’t get affected by drugs. You are safer with her around.”

Jing Yichen said softly. Although he had no expressions on his face, yet his heart had been totally frozen – someone had laid their eyes upon them. This was why Jing Zhongxiu had arranged Lu to be on Shangguan Ning’s side.

Shangguan Ning nodded cautiously. She had no idea who Lan Yu was, but she undoubtedly seemed dangerous.

Being tracked by others creeped Shangguan Ning out. She frowned and asked, “Is there any solution to mask the scent?”
