Ares’s body was possessed by Maria and the surrounding supercats and Bai Quan were under Maria’s control. They exclaimed out of shock.

Maria looked at Zhao Yao and said, “You… are strange.” She tried to control Zhao Yao’s mind but felt a void. There was nothing for her to control.

“You!”

Zhao Yao picked Ares up and squeezed him till he passed out.

Bai Quan’s gaze faltered as he looked at Zhao Yao and said, “What kind of creature are you?”

Zhao Yao charged towards Bai Quan. As Bai Quan had a super strong constitution, both of them collided with a loud bang as though two Gundams had clashed together.

As both of their bodies smashed through walls and cracked the floor, Maria shouted, “Attack Zhao Yao!”

The supercats were dumbfounded and they hesitated.

Maria activated her superpower and her awareness’ energy swept over their bodies. The supercats went into a daze and attacked Zhao Yao with their superpowers.

Boom! Superpowers rained on Zhao Yao and Bai Quan held Zhao Yao’s neck as he was lifted up in the air.

“Give up. You were defeated the moment we laid our eyes on you,” Maria said, “Blame it on your arrogance. You thought that you were invincible with your supercats…”

Zhao Yao squirmed and his arms transformed into metal cannons which were aimed at Bai Quan.

“Robot?” Maria was stunned. A high-voltage current went through Bai Quan and he was sent flying out.

Dust Ball blinked her eyes as she was possessed by Maria. She opened a Dimension Portal and jumped headlong into it.

“What’s happening? Where did the robot come from? That’s why I can’t control his awareness.”

As Maria retreated into the Extradimensional Belly to take a breather, she felt herself being squeezed as Dust Ball was picked up.

“Showing off your superpower recklessly without basic protection, you don’t have a lot of superpower battle experience.”

She turned Dust Ball’s head and saw another Zhao Yao behind her as he lifted Dust Ball.

“Finally, it’s the real Zhao Yao.” Maria sneered and directed her energy towards Zhao Yao’s head but it was futile.

The Extradimensional Belly disintegrated and transformed into Zhao Yao’s hand, whose fingers were pinching her.

“What!” Maria was dumbfounded and she left Dust Ball’s body and hid in the Awareness Dimension.

Standing in the Beginner’s Village in the Closers World, Maria inhaled deeply to calm down as she slowly remembered the battle.

Zhao Yao was adept in using superpowers. He did not reveal his true self at all and tricked her many times.

“Disgusting, what kind of a superpower is that?” Maria frowned as she thought, “Should I let Ada and John help? No, I shall understand Zhao Yao’s secret by myself…”

“Don’t panic, Maria. No matter how weird his superpowers are, I can always hide in the Awareness Dimension which is absolutely safe.”

Maria looked at the Beginner’s Village and calmed down.

Though she had the ability to return to the Awareness Dimension, she did not venture into the real Awareness Dimension as it was violent, chaotic, and random and she would become insane.

Only Giggles and Tom, who were extremely powerful supercats could travel through the real Awareness Dimension with ease.

Her hiding place in the Awareness Dimension was Closers World.

A shadow appeared before her just when she felt perfectly safe.

Maria became grim. “Zhao… Zhao Yao?”

Zhao Yao turned and looked at Maria with sympathy as he said, “Don’t you understand your predicament?”

Maria laughed loudly and said, “Zhao Yao! You are very powerful as you have managed to pursue me in Closers World. However, it’ll be your greatest mistake! You won’t have a chance to escape here…”

Maria’s body emitted a plethora of colored rays as the strength of six Closer creatures’ arose within her. She was obviously a high level player.

Zhao Yao smiled at her antics and said, “Really? I love to prove arrogant people like you wrong and see your panicked face as you exclaim in shock.”

Zhao Yao flashed and appeared in front of Maria. He punched her chest and she flew out, leaving an air vortex behind her.

Zhao Yao appeared behind her and stepped on her back, pushing her down from the sky like a comet plummeting to Earth.

Maria tried to stand up but found that her body was frozen and she could not control herself.

She looked at Zhao Yao who descended from the sky and said out of astonishment, “Why? Why are you able to do such stuff here?”

Zhao Yao frowned as his eyes glittered with crimson rays. Maria, who was immobilized, uttered, “How could this be?”

Zhao Yao smiled with satisfaction as he said, “Are you sure this is Closers World?”

Maria’s vision flashed and she felt the surrounding light flashing wildly. When she recovered, she was back in Cat Wonderland’s office.

Maria said in a daze, “An illusion? Didn’t I enter Closers World?” She saw the intact walls and floor and said, “It was all an illusion from the beginning?”

“This can’t be… if I am being controlled by illusions, I should be able to return to the Awareness Dimension.”

Maria looked at Zhao Yao and tried to control him once again. This time she did not feel any void but an unfathomable and terrifying power hidden behind a human face.

Restraining chains appeared out of thin air and tied Maria to the wall.

Zhao Yao said, “Didn’t you know? You are in the Awareness Dimension…”

“You are in your dream.”
