Rafel smiled. If there had been a Seed of Divine Fire, Saleen would not have allowed her to absorb it either. This was because that would be equivalent to Fycro reviving within her body.

Without a Seed of Divine Fire, Rafel could suppress the divine fire as their levels were similar. It was just that Fycro had comprehended a few more rules than she had. The difference between angels and gods lay in the fact that gods were the dominant party, whereas angels had no sense of self. Since the beginning in which the angels had been created, this had already been set in stone.

Rafel had witnessed her god’s death with her own eyes and harbored a special hatred towards the gods. If not for the other gods, the Metal God would not have fallen. Even if the Metal God had not advanced, his lifespan would still have exceeded that of this Crystal Wall system.

Even such a god had been killed.

Fine red-colored threads went into Fycro’s body from the surface of the Inferno Spear, penetrating into Fycro’s body and riddling it with holes. One heart had long stopped beating. Fycro’s body struggled futilely as he felt the unbearable pain…

“Violet Angel, eat more bones. They are beneficial for you.” Saleen saw this situation and knew that it was because the Violet Angel’s rank was not sufficient, rather than because the materials did not make the cut. Under the Power of Rules, some low grade materials were often also able to cause high grade materials to become deformed.

Dante heard his master showing concern towards him and only sighed.

Saleen did not ask. He guessed that Dante was still hoping to gain freedom. But he could not be given freedom!

The Violet Angel’s body broke apart into a few containers that were filled with the god’s blood that gushed out from Fycro and flew out of the Lightning Cage. Saleen handed the god’s blood to Dante. Dante directly gulped it down into his stomach, then he returned into the Lightning Constellation to continue nursing his wounds.

Saleen tossed the containers back at the Violet Angel, then he suddenly shut the Lightning Cage.

The Violet Angel jumped in fright, and heard Saleen say, “I have tens of thousands of subordinates who are directly managed by me. After killing a god, you have enjoyed most of the benefits alone. There must always be a price to pay.”

“Master!: The Violet Angel was somewhat anxious, and heard Saleen say:

“Don’t be afraid. My wish is to refine this Lightning Cage into your body. In any case, you are an entity evolved from mechanics. Adding a cage is also not something difficult.”

In reality, if Saleen had not allowed the Violet Angel to consume Fycro, and this body did not have divine fire within, a grade-13 pseudogod’s body could be preserved for 120,000 years. Most alchemists did not understand this point. Their alchemy was like constructing a house. The equipment they refined had too many traces to count and had too many imperfections.

For good alchemists, it was like planting a flower. They tossed in the seed, watered and fertilized it. All of this needed to be completed within a very short period of time.

What Saleen was doing now was to condense 120,000 years’ time into an instant. A god’s body would also dissipate into pure energy. Saleen’s alchemy was meant to bring this process forward.

Puppets could be destroyed too easily, even if it was a puppet refined entirely out of high grade materials like the Violet Angel. When one attained a grade at Saleen’s level, their foes would never be too weak. Each enemy would probably have the means to destroy the puppet’s core. Saleen was not refining the puppet’s core and the Lightning Cage together. Even if it was a god, it was impossible for them to destroy the Lightning Cage.

Not just that, but with the Lightning Cage in his body, in the future when the Violet Angel consumed anything, it would be much safer. His stomach would be equivalent to a small-scale Lightning Cage. As long as one was swallowed by the Violet Angel, they would basically be unable to escape.

“Teacher, I must return.” Saleen put away and Water Flames and the Violet Angel at the same time. Now, not a trace of a puppet could be seen on the Violet Angel’s entire body. It was adorned with flesh, as if he was a strong human man.

Saleen could only sigh at the fact that he did not have an artistic cell in his body. The puppets he refine could not be said to be magnificent or good-looking. There was only a feeling of strength and sturdiness.

Jason nodded and did not say anything. He could now be at ease with regards to his student. If he really could not cope, he could still return here to seek protection from him. There would sooner or later come a day when Saleen would become a great mage, just like those people who had left their names behind in the history books and had attained eternity in the hearts of mages.

There were no indestructible creatures. Mages too sought longevity and could even live for up to 10,000,000 years. However, mages would not pursue eternal life. That was a misunderstanding. One’s life could only be lengthened constantly, and they had to pay a huge price for it.

“Sika, let us go.” Saleen reached out his hand and carried his son while Sika carried their daughter. He called Rafel and walked towards the teleportation portal.

In this interdimensional space, only Teacher was powerful. Most of the mages who were his subordinates were still on the Myers Continent. Saleen needed to bring his children to a safe place to stay.
