The black bishop walked around the tree, thinking that Saleen had lost all ability to resist. He clutched the metallic thorn and prepared to kill Saleen. At this point in time, Saleen was in intense pain because of the clash between the two types of divinity inside his body. The gift of life from the Goddess of Myers had expelled the divinity of the Lord of Glory, and this clash resulted in intense pain.

Even though the pain could not be reduced, Saleen would have fainted long ago if he had not been so used to tolerating pain. Even so, Saleen could not move his body at all.

The black bishop was engulfed in the white light. When he came around the tree, he saw that Saleen was encompassed in a green glow which emanated outwards. That green glow went into a head-on clash with the white light on his body, producing immense popping noises.

All this had happened because the divine light from the Lord of Glory was repulsive towards other kinds of divinity, and not because the divinity inside Saleen’s body was aggressive. The outcome would be the same when any kind of divinity came into contact with that of the Lord of Glory.

The Lord of Glory did not reveal this fact to his believers who stayed on the Myers Mainland, so the black bishop thought that Saleen was the one who was attacking. After studying divine spells for such a long time, the black bishop could immediately tell that the green glow on Saleen’s body was another kind of divine light.

“Heretic!” the black bishop hollered at the top of his voice, displaying genuine astonishment.

In the hearts of the followers of the Lord of Glory, there were no other gods on the Myers Mainland. The Lord of Glory was the only god, be it on the Myers Mainland or the other planes. The psychological impact on the black bishop, which was caused by the green glow on Saleen’s body, was no less than the first time he had ever heard god’s response.

Ka ba! The blade broke beneath the force of the sword aura. Nailisi had already lunged into the arms of this man, then she kicked upwards with her knee. This assailant was extremely agile.
