I dismissed Boss’s concern with a smile and followed Shimurin down to the basement.

The basement of the mansion looked more like a typical workshop. There were magic circles everywhere. On her desk was a mountain of scrolls, and strange plants were growing in the corner of the room.

“Is this where you’ve been studying dimensional travel?” I asked casually.

Shimurin suddenly stopped in the center of the workshop and turned around.

She was frowning, and her gaze was as sharp as a blade.

After the somewhat spooky declaration, Shimurin continued her descent.
