The Indifferent Young Master's Flash Marriage Chapter 887 – Unexpected, Death?!

Chapter 887: Unexpected, Death?!

The old fishing boat slowly leaned against the shore and stopped one meter away from Su Wan.

The old man who was standing on the deck quickly jumped down. Although he was old and his hair was white, it was clear that his body was very strong. When he walked, he was as fast as lightning.

The old man looked at Su Wan in surprise. At this moment, Su Wan’s clothes were still covered in mud. Although her face was barely clean, her hair was messy and she looked grey.

“Little girl, why are you here?”

Su Wan did not dare to believe him. She pointed at the man lying beside the big rock and made up a lie to the old man.

“Grandpa, yesterday, my boyfriend and I went out to sea to watch the sunrise. However, a rainstorm suddenly fell from the sky, causing the waves to capsize the entire boat. When I woke up, I was stranded on this deserted island with my boyfriend.”

Su Wan paused and looked at him with her almond-shaped eyes.

“Now my boyfriend is injured and has fainted. I have been hungry for an entire night. Grandpa, can you please take us in for a while? As long as we reach the populated area, we can leave.”

After all, Su Wan looked delicate and weak, so the grandfather did not think too much about it.

His hale and hearty eyes focused, and he followed Su Wan’s instructions to look at the side of the big rock.

Sure enough, there was a man lying there, his whole body leaning against the big rock motionlessly, and he seemed to have fainted.

That man seemed to be even more dusty and dirty than Su Wan. His whole body was splashed with mud and sand, and from such a long distance, his appearance could not be seen clearly.

Such a young couple, coupled with the fact that they needed someone’s help, the grandfather was immediately relieved. He was on guard against Su Wan

“Young people, the weather has been very bad these past few days. Yesterday, there was a warning that there might be floods and mudslides in this area. You still dared to go out to sea?!”

The grandfather scolded Su Wan in a bad mood, but what he said next was concern.

“Look at the two of you. I still have spare clothes for my son and daughter-in-law on the fishing boat. I also have some food. They are all smoked sea fish or compressed biscuits.”

“The two of you can come back to the boat with me first. I can send you to the nearby Yanlu Town.”

Yanlu Town?

Su Wan vaguely remembered that it was a relatively remote town. The disaster in recent days was not serious, so she and Jiang Xuecheng had not been there.

Moreover, when she heard the other party’s tone, Su Wan somehow thought of her grandfather, Xie Changfeng. He was also a sharp-tongued but soft-hearted old man.

Every time, he would always find fault with her here and there, but he would only be strict with her. He would always use his own way to silently care for her.

Su Wan’s eyes reddened, and her vigilance toward this old man also decreased a lot.

“Yes, then thank you in advance.”

That old man nodded casually. He only felt that these two young people were too bold. They dared to go out to sea in such weather yesterday. Fortunately, they met him!

“Little girl, let me help you bring your boyfriend up?”

Su Wan was startled. Her lips moved a little. She was prepared to refuse, but thinking about the current appearance of Jiang Xuecheng with unkempt hair, not many people might be able to recognize him.

Su Wan hesitated for a moment and finally agreed.

“Grandpa, thank you.”

Su Wan walked quickly to Jiang Xuecheng’s side. She deliberately messed up Jiang Xuecheng’s hair and almost covered his eyes and eyebrows.

Then she took an arm and put it on the grandfather’s shoulder. She also used her hand to hold one of Jiang Xuecheng’s hands. The two of them worked together to transport Jiang Xuecheng to the fishing boat.

Just as they went up the gangway, the little boy on the deck suddenly ran over and looked at Su Wan and Jiang Xuecheng with great curiosity.

It was probably because Su Wan and Jiang Xuecheng were too gray. They were like two refugees!

The little boy pouted slightly and could not help but show a somewhat disdainful expression.

These two people were so dirty!

Meanwhile, Su Wan had already helped Jiang Xuecheng to find a chair on the deck and sat down.

The little boy pointed at Su Wan and Jiang Xuecheng and raised his dark red face to ask the old grandfather.

“Grandpa, who are these two?”

The old grandfather smiled at the little boy lovingly.

“They are siblings who were accidentally washed onto a deserted island. Qiangzi, quickly go and help them find something to eat.”

Su Wan felt an inexplicable bitterness and gratitude in her heart when she heard this. She and Jiang Xuecheng could be considered to have narrowly escaped death. They had turned a bad situation into a good one.

Fortunately, their luck wasn’t too bad. They were able to meet this grandfather and grandson…

The little boy who was called Qiangzi nodded at the old grandfather. Then, he ran swiftly towards the storage room.

Su Wan glanced at the tiger-like little boy who was about eight or nine years old and asked softly.

“Grandpa, is that your grandson?”

The old man with white sideburns smiled at Su Wan, and his wrinkled face showed some joy.

“It’s my grandson, Qiangzi. He’s nine years old this year, and he’s very handsome, right?!”

When Su Wan heard the old man’s words, the corners of her mouth couldn’t help but curve. The little boy’s skin was tanned, and he was thin and lean. No matter how she looked at him, he wasn’t handsome at all.

However, he was quite straightforward. When he smiled just now, he was quite cute.

Su Wan understood the old man’s attitude of showing off his grandson, so she immediately nodded in agreement.

“Yes, your grandson is really cute.”

The old man nodded in satisfaction and even stroked his beard that was even whiter than snow.

Using this little boy named Qiangzi, Su Wan changed the topic and probed.

“Grandpa, you also said that the weather on the sea has been bad these few days. Why did you go out to sea to fish so quickly? And you even brought such a young grandson…”

The Grandfather did not suspect her. He only thought that Su Wan and her boyfriend had suddenly encountered a natural disaster, so he wanted to remind them to pay attention to their safety.

“The weather forecast said that the weather has improved today. In addition, I haven’t gone out to fish for a long time, so my livelihood is going to be poor, that’s why I brought my grandson out.”

As the old man spoke, he patted the railing with a heroic spirit!

“My Qiangzi is already nine years old. I’m prepared to let him inherit my fishing career in the future. He should also come out to gain experience!”

Su Wan was speechless when she heard that. She thought for a moment and probed again.

“Grandpa, it seems that the storm was very heavy yesterday. Did It cause any major accidents or anything like that?”

Su Wan wanted to ask about her and Jiang Xuecheng falling off the cliff, but she couldn’t ask directly, so she could only beat around the bush.

Just as Su Wan was hesitating, she suddenly heard her grandfather sigh.

“Didn’t that happen?! Yesterday, Area B was flooded again. But what’s worse is that it seems that the emperor of the God’s Palace fell off the cliff and died. Even his body was found…”
