The Good for Nothing Seventh Young Lady Chapter 2689

Chapter 2689: To Delay (1)

Translator: Raz P., White Sky

On the other side of the battlefield, Qi Xia’s staff kept flashing, sending out destructive rays. Waves of magical light fell from the sky, smashing down toward Gui Jiang without pause.

When Shen Yanxiao arranged who would face which devil general, she simply put the strength of the twelve generals in order.

Yan Di was the first on the list, Tian Jue and Ji Ying were the second, followed by Gui Jiang.

Yan Di was so powerful that even the superior gods might not be able to cope with him. Therefore, Shen Yanxiao handed over the task of dealing with him to Yang Xi. With Doudou’s assistance, Yang Xi was second to none among the twelve alliance forces, and only he would be able to keep up with Yan Di’s attacks.

The Knight’s defensive power could effectively resist Yan Di’s deadly moves; when coupled with the mobility and lethality of an eight-winged golden dragon, it was absolutely possible to delay the powerful Yan Di for a certain period of time.

Tang Nazhi and Li Xiaowei was the combination that Shen Yanxiao had arranged to deal with Tian Jue and Ji Ying, but now that Li Xiaowei was gone, Shen Yanxiao could only fill the gap.

Shen Yanxiao’s original plan was for her to deal with Gui Jiang. Gui Jiang was ranked third among the twelve devil generals and was a very difficult opponent. However, the present circumstances had upset the plan and left her with no choice but to push Qi Xia up to her position.

Among the Phantom, Qi Xia was the only one who could match Shen Yanxiao in terms of individual fighting strength.

Shen Yanxiao could also rest assured, leaving Qi Xia to deal with Gui Jiang.

In fact, the most powerful ones on the whole battlefield were Shen Siyu and the Dragon God.

According to reason, it should be up to both of them to handle Yan Di and Gui Jiang, but Shen Yanxiao did not let them do this.

Xiu once said that Yan Di’s strength was second only to Satan’s in the underworld. Even Shen Siyu and the Dragon God, who had returned to the pinnacle of superior gods, were not necessarily Yan Di’s opponents. In the war between gods and devils ten thousand years ago, Yan Di showed his formidable fighting strength by killing nearly ten superior gods with his own hands. If Shen Siyu or the Dragon God were to fight Yan Di, the best result would be a deadlock between the two sides.

However, Shen Yanxiao did not intend to let Yan Di hold off the most powerful of them– Shen Siyu and the Dragon God. What Shen Yanxiao wanted was to hold off Yan Di, Gui Jiang and the pair of Tian Jue and Ji Ying so that they could not wreak havoc in a short period of time. This would also be the best time for Shen Siyu and the Dragon God to take action.

With the strength of Shen Siyu and the Dragon God, there shouldn’t be much pressure to deal with other devil generals. If there were no accidents, they might be able to kill the devil generals who were fighting them. In this way, the twelve devil generals could be whittled down in the shortest possible time. As long as Shen Siyu and the Dragon God could remove one or two devil generals, they could quickly support their other companions and cooperate with them to kill more.

Therefore, Shen Siyu and the Dragon God were primarily responsible for finishing off the twelve devil generals.

What Qi Xia needed to do now was to delay the battle with Gui Jiang as much as possible.

There was almost no pause in his magic. One attack after another rained down upon Gui Jiang.

Qi Xia was not in a hurry. His spell casting was methodical. He was waiting, waiting for a good time to avenge Li Xiaowei.

The blood debt would be repaid by blood, and none of the twelve devil generals would be able to escape!

Gui Jiang, who was battling Qi Xia, almost suffocated to death because of the teenager in front of him!
