The Good for Nothing Seventh Young Lady Chapter 2634 – Division of Troops (Chapter 1)

Ch. 2634: Division of Troops (1)

The devil army had broken through the defense line at the border. In just three days, dozens of cities had

been reduced to ruins. The ghting had continued and the troops in the Barren Land had been

continuously transferred. The devil army had been consumed to the greatest extent by using the cities’

defenses.

Entering the real Barren Land area, the assault of the Devil Race began to slow down.

Small cities were mostly on the periphery of the border, and with their defenses, it was hard to resist the

attack of the devil army for too long. But now, the cities the devil army was trying to break into were

already the medium-sized and large cities. These cities were the main forces of Shen Yanxiao’s army,

designed to consume the devil army. The defense of each medium-sized city was astonishingly high. In

the previous three days, these cities had completely renovated their gates, replacing each wooden gate

with black iron and sealing them with molten iron. It was impossible for the devil army to use siege

weapons to open these black iron gates in just half a day.

The city walls of these cities had also been raised higher, giving the guards on the city walls more time to

prevent the devil soldiers from invading the wall using their ladders.

Everything gave them plenty of time to ght the devils, so that the undead could nally play their role well.

In small cities, erce and fast battles simply had not given the undead time to resurrect anyone; but now,

it was dierent. They stood on the wall, and under the protection of allied soldiers, they constantly

resurrected the devil soldiers who had died outside the city. Those resurrected devil soldiers, under the

control of the undead, directly turned around and fought o the devil army.

The only pity was that the artillery was too powerful. The devils killed by the artillery were basically torn to

pieces and could not be reused through resurrection.

Only the devils killed by arrows and magic attacks could be taken advantage of.

The undead’s resurrection played a key role in the battle, which made the devil army reluctant to allow

their army to be consumed, because every dead soldier on their side might add a puppet to the other

party.

Satan was in the middle of the army, riding a demon beast. He looked at the impregnable city in front of

him. The city was reinforced with magical shields. Funnily enough, this Barren Land was originally the

stronghold of the devils. The defensive array set in the city was something left by their Devil Race, but it

had now been used by human beings as a barrier to protect themselves from the devils.

“Lord Satan, please let me attack the city with Ji Ying.” Tian Jue once again volunteered.

Although the devil army was very large, it didn’t matter at all if they died. He was already feeling very

impatient seeing those human beings, who he could easily slaughter, delaying the battle.

After the rst battle, Satan had not allowed any of the twelve devil generals to join the ghting.

This was just the beginning of the war; it was not yet time to use the twelve devil generals.

“There is no need for that.” Satan narrowed his eyes, watching the thing he had left behind being used by

mankind. The feeling was rather strange.

“Twelve devil generals, heed my command.”

“Each of you shall lead two million soldiers to attack the various parts of the Barren Land. I’d like to see if

every part of this Barren Land is so dicult to nibble.” Satan found this battle very interesting. It was

dierent from the previous war with the gods: the cunning enemies were like slippery loaches, consuming

their forces with the help of city walls. But don’t forget, there was more than one way to The Rising Sun

City.

“Shen Yanxiao, you’d better pray that you have blocked all the roads in the Barren Land; otherwise…”

Satan’s eyes ashed with a dangerous light.
