The Good for Nothing Seventh Young Lady Chapter 2401 – The Little Mermaid (Chapter 3)

Chapter 2401: The Little Mermaid (3)

Since the little mermaid was born, she could not see anything. She was ignorant of everything in the

world. The only thing she knew was that her birth brought death to her mother. On the day she was born,

her mother died in childbirth, and her father mourned for her for a long time.

The little mermaid had lived in this small room since she was sensible. Her father did not allow her to

leave this room, not even half a step, nor did he allow any other merpeople to contact her. Only the

mermaid, whom she called Elder Sister Qing, would bring her food and take care of her every day.

For the world outside this small room, the little mermaid was full of curiosity. Although she could not see,

her perception was much more acute than that of other merpeople. She could draw any picture in her

mind with the help of this perception.

From her description, Shen Yanxiao was shocked to nd that the perception of this little mermaid had

gone beyond the scope of vision.

She could clearly describe all the trees and grasses in the merfolk’s hometown, the appearance of the

palace, and the subtle places. The details were exactly the same as what Shen Yanxiao saw; it was as

though the little mermaid really saw those things with her eyes.

This was the rst time Shen Yanxiao had seen such a keen perception. Even the elemental spirits with

extremely strong senses could not reach such a level of sensitivity.

Looking at the beautiful, shiny shtail of the little mermaid, Shen Yanxiao seemed to understand why the

multicolored mermaid had such a high position among the merfolk.

Perhaps, as the merpeople say, multicolored mermaids were the embodiment of Neptune: they were

Neptune’s favorites.

As to why the Merfolk King kept the little mermaid here… Shen Yanxiao bit her lip. She feared it was

related to the death of the little mermaid’s mother.

The multicolored mermaid ought to receive the support of the merpeople. Even if the little mermaid could

not see, her perception was enough to make up for it; it was, after all, even beyond the realm of vision.

But the Merfolk King had put her under house arrest in such a small room…

Shen Yanxiao didn’t want to think about what the real intention of the Merfolk King was. The dead were

gone; it was now meaningless. For the little mermaid, her father and elder sister, the people she was most

familiar with, were both dead already, and a force that scared her appeared in the palace, which almost

made her faint in fear; after all, she was just a young mermaid.

“What’s your name?” Shen Yanxiao looked at the little mermaid and asked softly.

“Xi Yan…” The little mermaid whispered.

“Xi Yan?” Shen Yanxiao said with a smile.

Xi Yan pursed her lips.

“Xi Yan, the merpeople you are familiar with has left this world, but you have to be strong and continue to

live. That terrible guy hasn’t left yet. Can you guarantee that you can hide yourself well during this period

of time?” Shen Yanxiao looked at Xi Yan with some worry. The disaster in the hometown of the merfolk

had already destroyed too many merpeople. Shen Yanxiao did not want this lonely little fellow to suer as

well.

“Elder sister, will he kill you? Will you stay here with me? I… I can hide my aura, just stay with me; I can

help you hide together with me. I just… I was too afraid just now, that’s why… that’s why I wasn’t able to

hide well for a moment. Elder sister, don’t go, ok? I’m… I’m scared.” Xi Yan’s voice was full of trembling.

Her father’s aura, as well as her elder sister’s had disappeared completely from the sea, which lled her

young heart with trepidation.
