The Good for Nothing Seventh Young Lady Chapter 1316 – Sealed Off (Chapter 4)

Chapter 1316 – Sealed Off (4)

“Oh… Alright, I won’t force you anymore.” Shen Jing also seemed to realize that the other party was not in a good

mood, so he did not insist again.

“Right, you said before that it was an elf who traded gems with you. Then why would the City Lord lock you up? If

you explain directly to him, that will solve the matter, no?” Earlier, this was the reason that the elves of the

Moonshine Tribe had told him as to why they had come here.

It could be said that the culprit behind the Moonshine Tribe elves’ imprisonment this time… Was Shen Yanxiao!

If it wasn’t for Shen Jing being so free that he had the time to run and take liberties with the daughter of the City

lord, the Elf King would not have banned the gemstone trading with human beings because of this incident.

In this way, no matter where the gemstones of the Moonshine Tribe came from, they would not be accused of

committing a crime.

However, Shen Jing was very curious. He was very clear about the elves of the Moonshine Tribe. It could be said

that they were a group of very upright and honest elves. Even if they had been demoted and banished for some

reason, these relatives of his “for some reason”, did not display any resentful behaviors.

To say that they dared to disobey the orders of the Elf King and traded for gems with human beings, Shen Jing

would not believe it even if one beat him to death.

But since they undoubtedly had a deal with another elf, why be so scared and not explain it?

A younger male elf from the elves of the Moonshine Tribe replied, “We have already explained it, but the City Lord

is not very convinced. He asked us to tell him the identity of the elf who sent the gems, but we really can’t say it. At

that time, the customer came in a hurry. Although there was always a supply of gemstones to put up for sale in the

trading house, that customer had not appeared for half a year. In between that period, a Mythological Beast came to

take out the crystal coins. Even if there are two of us elves, we don’t know their names, so where can we find

them?”

Without any evidence, their words had little credibility.

Everyone knew that there was hardly any supply of gemstones on the Moon God Continent, and only human beings

could provide a large number of gemstones to the elves.

The business of the Moonshine Trading House had been so bleak before, but half a year ago, they had suddenly

displayed a large number of gemstones on their shelves for sale. And in the past six months, the supply of gems had

not been interrupted at all.

This had attracted the attention of the City Lord of Jadeite City.

After investigation, the gemstones that the Moonshine Trading House were selling were not gemstones produced

from the Moon God Continent, but were obviously produced from the Radiance Continent where humans lived.

No matter how the elves of the Moonshine Trading House explained the matter, if they could not find the elf who

had supplied them with these gemstones, they would not be able to wash off the suspicion on them.

Moreover, when the two elves of the Moonshine Trading House described Shen Yanxiao to the City Lord, the City

Lord became more and more convinced that the other party really did not exist.

Could a minor elf who had not fully grown really come up with so many gems? Wasn’t that too weird?!

Unless one was the leader of a tribe, they could not possibly possess so many gemstones in their hands.

However, it was impossible for the leaders of the tribes to put these gemstones up for sale.

So after some inferences, the elves of the Moonshine Tribe could hardly remove the suspicions on them.

“You said that there is a Mythological Beast who came to collect the money during this period of time, correct?

Why don’t you just let the City Lord find the Mythological Beast?” Shen Jing’s brain turned very fast.

The Moonshine Tribe elf smiled at him and answered, “We also want to find that Mythological Beast, but it only

appears occasionally. When it is done collecting the money, it would leave right away. We really have no idea where

to find it ah.”

Shen Jing then asked, “Then do you know which Mythological Beast it is? Tell the City Lord and let him look for it.

Anyway, that Mythological Beast should collect money from you after some time again. Ask the City Lord to send

an elf to guard at the door of your trading house just in case.”
