Chapter 58: They Were Able to Get Out

“Let’s go.” Ning Yiyuan was the first to walk forward. Although his footsteps were heavy, his posture was still upright. The aura of a soldier seemed to have been deeply embedded in his body and could not be removed.

“Yeah.” Mo Chu responded and followed behind him silently.

She stared at his back as she follow him. If it was not for Ning Yiyuan’s increasingly obvious and rough breathing, no one would have known that he was enduring heavy pressure. However, he merely endured it and did not make a sound.

Mo Chu could not stand idly by. She took a deep breath and strode forward. Without waiting for Ning Yiyuan to speak, she placed his arm across her shoulder and shifted most of his center of gravity to her. This way, Ning Yiyuan would use much less strength.

Mo Chu’s actions were very nimble. By the time Ning Yiyuan reacted, half of his body was already leaning against Mo Chu’s body. Looking at the small, fair face near him, Ning Yiyuan could not help but be slightly startled. When he saw her forehead full of sweat, he tried to move away. “No need. I’m… I’m very heavy. You’ll be very tired.”

Ning Yiyuan tried to explain with a serious expression, but Mo Chu felt like laughing. She nodded her head as if it was a matter of fact. “That’s right. You’re really heavy, so we have to move quickly. Otherwise, I’ll die of exhaustion.”

Looking at Mo Chu’s bright smile, Ning Yiyuan was stunned speechless.

The two of them were very close to each other. He could almost smell a faint fragrance from Mo Chu’s body. He could not tell what it was, but it made him feel very comfortable.

Without realizing it, the two of them walked a long distance in this position.

The sun was high in the sky. The stuffy air was sticky and blocked every pore on their bodies. Even breathing seemed to become difficult.

“Why don’t we rest for a while?” Ning Yiyuan’s heart ached as he suggested. Mo Chu’s face was pale as sweat dripped from her forehead.

“No, no need.” Mo Chook her head and bit her lips. She used the pain to keep herself awake. “I can do it. Let’s continue walking.”

Perhaps they would be able to break loose from this strange ability if they were out of the Gravity Tree’s range.

“Alright.” When Ning Yiyuan met Mo Chu’s determined gaze, he sighed helplessly. However, he secretly shifted his weight back on his side. The arm on her shoulder was just a posture.

After walking for so long, Mo Chu was already extremely tired. She did not notice Ning Yiyuan’s small movements at all.

Time seemed to have been deliberately prolonged. Every step he took was as heavy as a thousand pounds.

“Oh–” Suddenly, Ning Yiyuan staggered and almost fell to the ground.

“What’s wrong? Are you alright?” Mo Cheyes and hands were quick. She hurriedly held him. However, she did not have much strength on her own. Not only did she not manage to support Ning Yiyuan, she almost fell to the ground. Even so, Mo Chu’s knees also hit the ground, causing her to gasp in pain.

When she stood up, she realized that half of Ning Yiyuan’s foot had sunk into the ground!

“This…” At this moment, Mo Chu did not care if it was painful or not. She directly grabbed Ning Yiyuan’s foot with both hands and pulled it out with all her strength. She used all her strength, but it was completely useless.

Ning Yiyuan grabbed Mo Chu’s hand and shook his head slightly. “It’s useless. Don’t waste your strength. Once you’re trapped, you won’t be able to pull it out. Moreover, it would only sink deeper and deeper, and the speed of the sinking would also become faster and faster.”

“Then what should we do?” Mo Chu looked at Ning Yiyuan helplessly.

“Don’t worry, I can still drag my feet.” Ning Yiyuan did not seem to be in a hurry at all, as if he firmly believed that they would be able to escape. “As long as we walk out of the Gravity Tree’s range, I’ll be able to pull my leg out.”

“Can we really get out of here?” Mo Chu gulped, her one a little lost. “But we’ve been walking in circles for so long.”

Mo Chu’s heart was beating fast. The longer they walked, the more afraid she became. If she really could not get out, then all of them would end up as nutrients for the Gravity Tree!

“Don’t be afraid!” Seeing the worry on Mo Chu’s face, Ning Yiyuan could not help but reach out and pull her into his embrace. He patted her back gently to calm her emotions. “Everything will be fine. We will definitely find a way out.”

This little girl should be scared out of her wits. After all, she was only 16 or 17 years old. There was still a long time before she reached adulthood!

Being patted by Ning Yiyuan, Mo Chu gradually calmed down, and the anxiety in her heart seemed to gradually dissipate.

Right at this moment, Mo Chu suddenly saw a small spider running through the forest in front of her. A flash of inspiration struck her like lightning.

Thinking back carefully, they had not been attacked by any magical beasts along the way. She had previously thought that it was because of the pressure of the Blood Luminescent Beast or because they were afraid of Ning Yiyuan.

However, perhaps it was that these magical beasts who had lived here for a long time already knew that this area was within the range of the Gravity Tree, so they did not dare to get involved.

In other words, as long as they followed this small spider in front of them, they would definitely be able to get out!

Thinking of this, Mo Chu’s eyes instantly lit up.

“Let’s go, I’ve found a way out!” Afraid of losing the spider in front of them, Mo Chu dragged Ning Yiyuan’s body forward.

After following the spider for 20 minutes, Ning Yiyuan clearly felt the burden on his body lighten by more than half. With a slight push of his feet, he pulled his leg out from the ground.

“That’s great!” Seeing this, Mo Chu finally heaved a sigh of relief. They had finally walked out of the damned Gravity Tree’s range!

Ning Yiyuan’s memory was very good. Even though she had only been here once, she still remembered the route clearly. Thus, she successfully rescued Zhong Wen and the Blood Luminescent Beast.

After a little rest, they recovered most of their strength.

Mo Chu, on the other hand, was the one with the weakest physical strength. Even now, she was still panting and could not catch his breath! Seeing that everyone was fully recovered, she stood up with difficulty. “Alright, let’s go.”

She did not forget that they had come here to find Mo Yang and the ten soldiers. There was no need to waste time here just because of her.

“What a stubborn girl!” Looking at Mo Chu’s trembling legs, Ning Yiyuan could not help but sigh and walked toward her. Mo Chu was stunned as he half-squatted with his back facing her. “Come on, I’ll carry you.”
